  1. There are some truly unpleasant people posting on this forum.

(No relation)(wasn't Me) xxxxxx Perhaps he/she was looking for you, Foxy :) I saw one last night shrieking down the road, maybe it was the same one. Was it quite small with a rather mangy looking tail?
  4. I heard one just the other night, so I guess they are still around somewhere ...
  5. Someone stopped taking their meds?

And allowing those comments to remain on here conveys a very unfortunate image of this forum, in my opinion. The Tarka the Otter joke was completely different and yes I would have laughed except I've heard it before .....

Greenwich is far harder to get to than Brixton from here, plus if memory serves its ticket prices are much higher than the Ritzy, though that may have changed.
  8. Jeremy Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Issue happened just before 7 I think. Glad it > didn't turn out to be serious - apologies for the > false alarm! xxxxxx I watched the news expecting a headline of a fire or terrorist attack!! Very relieved it wasn't, but there shouldn't be smoke and debris, so where did it come from? ETA: It was clearly taken seriously, or the station wouldn't have been closed at all?

WTF? And for the record, I too thought your "joke" about illegal immigrants' underpants was both racist and offensive. Glad to see Dulwich Tandoori posting on here and giving such detailed background.
  10. A Ritzy-type cinema in ED would be brilliant!
  11. StraferJack Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > A look at forums relating to broadband shows most > companies have their flaky monets > xxxxxxx They should look after their art better :))
  12. Bloody hell :( ETA: Stupid question because I'm sure you would have said, but any idea what has caused the smoke?

I don't work nights, but I'd be bloody annoyed at persistent barking, regardless of the time of day or night.
  14. I have found Plusnet good, you could investigate their current deals. I have unlimited broadband and a phoneline with them, and I have found them reliable and with good customer service (not that I've needed it much). I think they have some association with BT, not sure what though.

    Flying Ants

I have hated flying ants ever since some got tangled in my hair one year on my way home from school :(

  17. numbers Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I know! We could call it Chopstix! > > > (btw, no idea how good/bad that place was, think > it was shutting down just as I moved to ED). xxxxxxx The food at Chopsticks was truly terrible ...... You missed nothing, numbers :)
  18. Crikey, it hasn't been Chopsticks for a very long time, it was Indian Mischief for ages! It appears to be the same people running it as before, and they haven't changed the tables etc, which I presume is how it was able to open so very quickly after Indian Mischief closed.
  19. You can phone the council and in theory the noise control people will come out and listen, and if they agree it's bad they will speak to the person concerned. However the hours they work have been greatly reduced, and I don't know what they are now, though presumably you can find out if you phone.

So I'd > guess around ?3,000 including everything. > xxxxxx ??????????????????? For one table? That's extortionate! Somebody is making an awful lot of money out of this, surely. Is this coming out of our council tax?? :(

  24. I guess if you jump in front of a train you are probably not in the frame of mind to think about the possible/probable effect on other people. Terrible terrible thing all round.
  25. kirsun Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > My son said no and handed them the ?1.50 he had in > loose change, while they were counting the money > my son and his friends made a hasty retreat. xxxxxx Good for them!
