I can't think of any times when I haven't got one that way. In theory you can also phone, but in practice they don't seem to have enough lines, so by the time you get through sometimes all that day's "same day" appointments have gone. I'm staying at DMC because I'm happy with the medical care I get. ondined, I don't think a physio would deal with a suspected fracture, though I may be wrong.

And what do you think a "folk club" is, anyway? ?????????

If you promote it, they will come :)

R.I.P. :(
  6. Just don't on any account buy the Co-Op mulled wine at ?2.99 a bottle. Very cheap, but absolutely revolting :))

  10. Move to Glastonbury, the place is full of them :) ETA: I've PMed you

Hope they will be able to take them up without having to travel to the other side of London :( Glad things worked out for you, i*rate, and sorry I misconstrued your sarcasm :)
  13. benmorg Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- The cover of > anonymity allows people to be far ruder than they > would ever be face to face xxxxxxxx Yes, but being "out" on the forum does not prevent people being very rude to you, in my experience :( But then of course that's because they may know who I am, but I don't know who they are. Cowards who as you say would not say these things to your face. Though they are welcome to come and do it if they want a straight answer :) Does anybody know whether this little boy was reunited with his parent/carer? Not surprised Dee was concerned, it's quite upsetting to witness something like this. And I can't begin to imagine how traumatic for the child and adult concerned.
  14. Perhaps we should just pull Lordship Lane down and turn it into the South London equivalent of Bluewater... The rest of ED could be the car park. Then you could have all the shops you are yearning to see here :)) (I don't think a shop with two or three branches really counts as a "chain", does it?)

  16. Just an interesting happening - and damn, I missed it, I was cooking my lunch :))

We've already got bloody Oliver Bonas, *hite Stuff and Cafe Nero, isn't that enough??? Not to mention F*xt**s!
  18. Great photos!

  20. That's really sad. The last time I was in there I had extraordinarily good and cheery service from the person on the till. It made a really pleasant change. She was just being lovely to everybody. And they recently had a notice in their window thanking everybody for their enquiries and concern and saying they didn't yet know what was happening. Unlike the charming i*rate, I don't think the shop is ghastly at all, and I will miss it. ETA: And to say "hurray" when people have been told just before Christmas that they are losing their jobs on 4 January, when in the present climate they will find it extremely hard to find employment, just beggars belief.
  21. Funnily enough, I was just saving a Word document and noticed it was 12.12.12 - so now waiting with bated breath for 12.12 :)) And as there are only twelve months, no it won't happen again in our lifetimes unless medical science has a quantum leap :))

  23. Thanks Huguenot, that's very helpful.

I've always assumed that the "family" section was actually for people with young children - although I know that's not strictly the definition of "family" - so I never go there. I can't be the only one! If Huguenot's suggestions aren't appropriate for your thread, you could try the lounge?
