I have contacted her on various occasions concerning various topics, and I have nothing but praise for the speedy and efficient way she dealt with them each time. She also updated me as necessary, without being asked. I think she's an excellent MP.

Missing Elderly Man from Nunhead
Sue replied to Peckhamgatecrasher's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
We have a gig at DHFC tonight and will display posters there, and also ask the club to keep the posters up as they have a lot of people going there both for the gym and for football during the week as well as weekends. I have downloaded posters from the Missing People website, is that the only poster there is? ETA: Because although it has a photo and Patrick's age, it doesn't give any other details eg about height and accent. -

Also how about charities which help the homeless, do soup runs etc - they are likely to notice if there is someone new on their patch? Is it St Mungos? Sorry haven't done the newsletter yet, but it will go out tonight. -

Very long shot, but I am sending out a newsletter today which goes to over a thousand people, and I will include links to the Facebook page. Will also put it on the Goose website homepage. Only takes one person to see it who might have some information. Thinking of you all. -
I hadn't even noticed it had gone! Have noticed the smileys have disappeared though, so I can't add a blushing one ....

I can also recommend Peter Bennison. But I'd be inclined to phone the boiler manufacturers first as they might be able to talk you through trouble-shooting which isn't on their website help page. Would only take the cost and time of a phone call, so nothing much lost if you still have to get someone to look at it.

Thanks for the Twitter info PGC, I will retweet. I have also posted to Facebook. If everybody else could do the same and encourage their Facebook friends to share it too, at least as many people as possible will become aware of it in that way. Terrible situation, hoping for a happy outcome very soon. -
Faulty (possibly dodgy) HSBC cash machine on LL

the-e-dealer Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Its not Faulty its fixed to rip you off - Do not > use! xxxxxx Surely if HSBC have put a notice up (it's displayed on the screen, not stuck onto it) then they would have sorted it immediately if it's "fixed to rip you off" rather than just leaving the scam in place??? -

Sorry, edited as crossed post. Happy to retweet but how do we find the tweets please? -

Faulty (possibly dodgy) HSBC cash machine on LL

Yesterday there was a notice on the machine saying that it was faulty, but also on no account to key in your pin number, which I found a bit odd. -
I remember when the Drum first opened, it was before the smoking ban. It was unbearable inside, because there was such a lot of smoke in such a small space - well, it was unbearable to an ex-smoker!

How much does it cost to go up there, and when is it open? Anyone know?

If > he's such a great artist, why the necessity for > such a gimmick? Grayson Perry is a great artist AND he happens to enjoy dressing as a woman/girl sometimes. Presumably the various aspects of the personality of any artist will inform their art, whether it's cross dressing or anything else. Louis Killen, who you won't have heard of, is a fantastic singer who only very recently has publicly come out - in his seventies - as having an alter ego, Louisa Killen. He has - extremely bravely in my opinion in view of comments of people like yourself - appeared on stage in women's clothes. Are you suggesting that if he had done this at an earlier age it would somehow have given him an advantage in getting bookings/record contracts? I think not. His image was of a bearded, masculine, deep-voiced guy who sang songs about mining, the sea and stuff. Cross-dressing is hardly going to turn crap art into great art. And there are always going to be some people who think some art is crap. I think much of what Damien Hirst has done is crap, but that doesn't seem to have held him back :))

Thanks for this, I will go to his show, I saw the first episode of the television series and I thought it was brilliant. Loved what he did and looking forward to the other two. ETA: Parkdrive, your post is just pathetic. Are you one of those people who think everybody should be just the same as you? Thank Christ they aren't.

The Goose is Out people, and the crowd who > do the open air cinema in the Dulwich park in the > summer, might have some good knowledge on the > matter! xxxxxxx We certainly know how not to start a Get Rich Quick scheme :)) We'd be delighted to see an alternative venue open in or near East Dulwich though - we have been unable to find anything suitable to replace The Ivy House, which was a fantastic space and size for our "medium sized audience" gigs. That's medium sized in numbers, not in height or girth, obviously, which for us is around 100 people. So a multi-use space would be great. But there was a thread on here a while back suggesting an Arts Centre type place which could incorporate a space suitable for music gigs/cinema/art exhibitions etc, and cold water was thrown at it from all directions as I recall (though my memory is crap so I may be recalling wrongly). Sue (Half of The Goose Is Out!) ETA: We'd be very happy to discuss possibilities with the OP or indeed with anyone else re a new local multi-use space, but we'd have no capital to put into it. We also need somewhere licensed to sell alcohol.
