Just wanted to get this to the top again because the more I think about it, the more I think there could be something quite worrying happening here :-S Why would a person bang from the inside of a front door, unless they badly needed someone to hear them and let them out?

Yes that is quite worrying, somebody could be being held against their will. I would say deffo call the police next time it happens and let them decide whether or not they want to investigate.

They flower around this time, in the Winter, I remember the first time I saw a Camellia, in the seventies, I was working in the city, went out for a walk one lunchtime in January/February and was gobsmacked to see a shrub in full bloom somewhere around the Guildhall, 'twas a Camellia I subsequently discovered and have had a soft spot for them ever since :)

Well when I made enquiries in January the garage for the 185 was definitely Camberwell, may have changed now - unless of course senility has set in yet again :)) Quite possibly :))Anyway irrelevant to this thread which is about lost property on the 40 .....

Can't remember if I've said this before, but standing near Sainsbury's about 2am the bird song is incredible. Jaw-droppingly incredible in fact. OH thinks it's because of all the lights and they think it is still day, and of course there is little traffic noise at that time. But surely they must sleep some time?

Thank you for getting my tree finally replaced! I now have a lovely Betula jacquemontii outside my house complete with two stakes and even a little cage around it. I'm delighted, please pass on my thanks to the tree people. I'm quite sure after all this time it would never have happened without your involvement.

You could try googling to see if there's another number - maybe the one you've got is out of date or otherwise not in use?
