Sorry to shout but have you read this thread? I've posted the link about three times now. Just scroll up a bit. Each time something goes wrong, REPORT IT USING THIS LINK! They have to give you a reference number, and they have to let you know what action they have taken. If you don't use this link, there is no record of the report anywhere and we will just keep getting told that mail problems in East Dulwich are the same as everywhere else. If that's true, heaven help us all.
  4. They flower around this time, in the Winter, I remember the first time I saw a Camellia, in the seventies, I was working in the city, went out for a walk one lunchtime in January/February and was gobsmacked to see a shrub in full bloom somewhere around the Guildhall, 'twas a Camellia I subsequently discovered and have had a soft spot for them ever since :)

  6. Maid of Australia - Brass Monkey
  7. SteveT Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Should be snowdrops, then crocuses followed by > daffs. > xxxxxxx Should be, SteveT, but flowering periods are all to pot these days, presumably due to climate change.

  9. Well when I made enquiries in January the garage for the 185 was definitely Camberwell, may have changed now - unless of course senility has set in yet again :)) Quite possibly :))Anyway irrelevant to this thread which is about lost property on the 40 .....

  12. I've got some in a pot outside that are about to flower :)
  13. Can't remember if I've said this before, but standing near Sainsbury's about 2am the bird song is incredible. Jaw-droppingly incredible in fact. OH thinks it's because of all the lights and they think it is still day, and of course there is little traffic noise at that time. But surely they must sleep some time?
  14. Thank you for getting my tree finally replaced! I now have a lovely Betula jacquemontii outside my house complete with two stakes and even a little cage around it. I'm delighted, please pass on my thanks to the tree people. I'm quite sure after all this time it would never have happened without your involvement.
  15. Busted. Do I meant busted or do I mean another word completely? Who knows. I've had three glasses of red. Or possibly my brain is addled through listening to too much folk music :))

You could try googling to see if there's another number - maybe the one you've got is out of date or otherwise not in use?

  20. Last Train to Clarksville - The Monkees :))

It takes your cursor down the page so that you can have the occasional space between your sentences, ie it divides your text into paragraphs so that it is readable :) Edited again to say: You must have discovered this big key, because you do have a space at the top and bottom, just an indigestible mass of text in the middle! In my opinion, obviously.
  24. You need to phone the bus garage - they keep lost property at the garage for a time before sending it to the main lost property office (who should have told you that!) I don't know which the garage is for the 40, but you can google it, there is a list of garages and bus numbers. Each garage will have a customer service line. Let me know if you need any more help. I personally can't see the problem with signatures unless either a) they are offensive in some way or b) someone is clearly posting on the forum with the sole purpose of getting their signature about. If some are removed and not others, which is what is happening now, that is just unfair and divisive. Why is it not OK to have signatures advertising things which are of clear benefit to the East Dulwich community, like a humanist funeral celebrant, and folk music events, which people may not otherwise know about, but OK to have politicians advertising their political party just before an election? If people want to contact these politicians they can PM them on the forum, so they do not need to give other contact details.
