  1. But so do M&S, don't they?
  2. I've had some letters today, and nothing apparently delayed, so I assume things are back to what passes as normal!
  3. That's up to admin, isn't it? Why do you want the video taken down?
  4. I've had a number of packages, including medication. I haven't noticed not getting any letters, but I wasn't particularly expecting anything through the post. What can you use instead of Royal Mail for letters and cards? If what you say about their annual leave is true, senior management should be made aware. That's just total incompetence, unless there are factors we don't know about.
  5. They can't win, can they? Either people are complaining it's too crowded to swim, or people are complaining when they try to keep numbers to a reasonable level by having pre-booked slots. People who want to lane swim would surely not be happy if they were trying to do it with twenty people in their lane? Even if it was the slow lane 🤣
  6. There are other legitimate food banks in Southwark (if you mean the borough?), eg the one off Dog Kennel Hill and the one in the church at the top of Barry Road. Probably loads more. And to the best of my knowledge none of them ask for cash donations. What does this guy - or whoever he is collecting for - do with the cash? Has anybody asked him?
  7. I think this has been raised on here before somewhere I don't think it can be legit. Why would a food bank be asking for money, instead of donations of food? Though I would have thought M&S might have wanted to do something about it if he wasn't legit, because he seems to be there a lot, and everyone coming out of the shop has to encounter him. ETA: Shouldn't this be in the general ED issues section rather than the lounge?
  8. Stating the obvious, sorry, but surely Evri must realise that a postcode covers more than one house? In my street it is the whole of one side of the street. You could try asking at every house on your side of the road, or putting a note through the doors? But ultimately, surely Evri have to take responsibility for misdelivery? Or the retailer who employed them to deliver your package to your specific address, not just anywhere within the postcode.
  9. Trouble is, the postage would probably be exorbitant 🙄
  10. 😮 Do you know the cause of the fire?
  11. Never heard of them! The place in the screenshot attached?
  12. If you are at home and are able to, please put water out for our lovely local birds ❤️
  13. If they are kids, I don't suppose they read this forum, or are even aware of it 🤣
  14. Well yes, but I think it was on the BBC and other sites as well. I don't use Twitter/X apart from publicising our gigs. But I take your point. And also yes, obviously other priorities, but presumably the whole Met workforce was not at Notting Hill!
  15. My "assumption" was based on those people having seen the publicity about what he's done. I thought that was obvious, so apologies if it wasn't. And the police thought it was serious enough to publicise it via various media outlets. Clearly it is particularly relevant at the moment because of the recent rioting etc, so I guess they are publicly hammering home the point that any form of racism won't be tolerated.
  16. I really cannot understand why the police have not found this man. All I can think is that the people who know him don't want to tell the police who he is because they agree with his racist crap. Why else would you not? Even if you were his neighbour, presumably you could do it anonymously?
  17. How did you come to have a £50 note in the first place?!
  18. Why? To study? To meet each other? To game? Why do they need separate spaces in a library?
  19. Barclays online service is appalling, in my experience, so probably their offline service isn't usually much better. I was briefly a customer (I only joined to get a payment for switching) and had so many unnecessary problems. If memory serves they don't come out well in customer satisfaction tables in things like Which and MoneySavingExpert.
  20. Surely somebody must know this man. He has quite a distinctive face. And cap. I can't understand if the police can later identify and arrest masked rioters why they can't identify someone they have a very clear photo of.
  21. It rings a very very vague bell, but I don't think this is the right thread to discuss it, given the subject matter. Because they could remove the graffiti?
