Problems finding Delmosart and other medicine in pharmacies
Sue replied to radnrach's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I had this problem recently when I couldn't get antibiotic eye drops anywhere which I needed urgently for an eye ulcer. Wholesalers had run out. I had to get a new prescription for an alternative antibiotic. Might whoever has prescribed yours be able to suggest an alternative, even on a temporary basis, or is that not possible? I have read that this is happening all over the country. I believe it is partly but not wholly to do with Brexit. What seems ridiculous to me is that there is apparently no central system to be able to find out what wholesalers/pharmacies have a particular medication in stock. People who need urgent treatment are stressed enough already without having to phone round themselves to find a place who has what they need. -
It was £1k for the claim for the subsidence in my front bay. This new policy would have had an excess of £2k, but unfortunately in looking through a load of old paperwork I came across old claims for ground movement in 1992 and around 1998 ( I think), one at the back of the house and one when a rod was put through the front bay , which I had completely forgotten about and had been completely sorted at the time. In the interests of full disclosure, once I had found them I had to tell the insurance company, who then hiked the excess up to £5k, even though it was so long ago. The brokers said they would try to get that reduced next year. 🙄

I have been following this thread with interest, and the question which keeps coming to my mind is WHY? WHY would you need an ostrich egg? I thought it was a joke at first, but apparently not!

New Shops in Dulwich / Peckham - 2024 Edition

Willow is now being emptied of its remaining contents. Does anybody know what is going to replace it? -

That's nothing like the depth of mud I've experienced at Glastonbury! Admittedly many years ago 😂

I have just briefly spoken to somebody I know very slightly who was standing in Ulverscroft Road apparently in some distress. I asked him if he was alright. He said he didn't want to talk to someone he didn't know very well, and that the situation was complicated. I don't want to give any details which may identify him, except that he was an older man, but I am posting this here in case anybody is looking for him. He headed towards North Cross Road. If anybody who is aware of the situation wants me to delete this post, please PM me.

Do they do deliveries? There is a leaflet holder outside, but I have never seen anything in it.

Lucky you! Fingers crossed a cat hasn't got her and that you have just not been there when she is coming and going. Please let us know if/when you see her again!

Please don't post details like this on here. By all means publicise demos - I have been on several since this all began - but I do not want to accidentally read this kind of thing. I am sure I am not the only person using this forum whose anxiety and other mental health issues are potentially triggered by reading explicit details of death and injuries, particularly of children, and there was no clue of this in your thread title. -
Might not that have been the thing on in Brockwell Park? Or was that another weekend?

Sorry, probably a silly question, but if you can get the same pills online for a third of the price, why would you continue to buy them from the vet? Have I missed something here?

I'm amazed to hear you say that. I think Helen Hayes has been an absolutely excellent constituency MP. She has always responded quickly when I've had occasion to contact her. What exactly were you hoping for? What more could she have done to get postal deliveries improved, given the dire national situation with Royal Mail? My only gripe with her has been her abstention on the Gaza vote, which admittedly did greatly alter my opinion of her.

We would have been keen to get food from here, to support a new small local business, but we looked at the menu when we passed the other day and there are virtually no vegetarian dishes at all, and hardly any fish ones 😥

I got a relatively good deal (well, compared to the quote from my current broker!) through Orwell Insurance, who also didn't require a survey. £655 pa including subsidence cover. The excess is quite high but there's a ten year guarantee on the work on my front bay, so fingers crossed I won't have to claim. There has been other ground movement decades ago which sadly they also took into account in setting the excess. I used an online site called QuoteZone which was very quick and easy and can exclude any companies which won't cover you if you've had previous subsidence. Good luck to everyone who is in a similar situation! Each company seems to ask different questions and want different things, so definitely try a few places. I didn't want to spend days phoning round, so given I had already saved £845 I stopped there, though it's possible I could have got it cheaper.

What do the present owners say about it? Do you get to park in this private car park free? Are there strings attached to that? If not, I'm struggling to see what the problem is, but then I'm not a lawyer. Who might show up? The owners of the car park? Do they have an interest in the actual house in some way? What might happen if they showed up?

We've had them from Yard Sale before, and they were fine! -

We went there on Sunday. Agree prices are on the high side, as are the drinks prices, though the bill wasn't too bad with the 20% off. The food was good. Hope they do well - nice to see something a bit different. On an unrelated matter, we had a delivery from Yard Sale pizza recently. It's only round the corner from us, and the pizzas arrived stone cold and had to be microwaved. We weren't very happy, as they aren't cheap either 🙄 -
Who are the new managers, and what changes have they made? I haven't been in there for years!
