  1. Why don't you ring the council and ask which bit of the council might be able to help? Might be quicker!!
  2. But they both seemed very young foxes themselves - a work colleague reckoned they would be siblings? And surely that size hole wouldn't hold a family of foxes, and surely they would dig the holes themselves?? Not that I'm doubting you, you understand :)

Haven't been on the forum long have you? TheGooseIsOut has just started twittering, can't understand half of it, my daughter told my to rtfm, I had to google that as well :)) Edited to say: I probably mean tweeting, not twittering, which exemplifies my problem :))
  4. Well done to the forum person who had the common sense to look in a phone list!
  5. A forum member looked up the surname in the phone list, and I phoned them and yes it was theirs, so thanks forum person and I hope the bus driver didn't bin it!
  6. What, 24/7? :)) Seriously (before this thread gets lounged or worse) why would two foxes be sleeping happily in my garden then disappear? edited to say: My garden in East Dulwich, that is ....
  7. Anyone know what has happened??
  8. Her name is Zoe Elisabeth Bieleberg but there was no school name or contact details at all. Clearly primary school though. Was a transparent folder closed by a popper containing a covered homework book plus a number of other items of work. It was on the top deck of a 185 on the ledge at the front. I got on the bus at Victoria about 6.30pm, which is where the bus starts, so it could have been left there at any point on the route from Lewisham to Victoria I guess. I've handed it to the bus driver as there was no point my bringing it back here and I hope her parents might contact the bus garage. Hope she doesn't get into too much trouble! Edited to say: Sorry admin didn't know where to post this, hope this section is OK
  9. It came upon the midnight clear O come O come Emmanuel (actually this is an advent hymn, but hey what's a few days here or there) The Holly Bears A Berry In The Bleak Midwinter Quelle est cette odeur agreable
  10. The Maker Makes - Rufus Wainwright

  12. At the risk of being a total bore, I just wish to share that I have seen neither of "my" foxes since Thursday morning and I miss them :-$ And Helena H - :))
  13. Last Train to Clarksville - The Monkees :))
  14. ???? Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Stella 4% - enough said, cooking lager ain't worth > ?2 a gallon xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ?2 a gallon? Surely the cans aren't two pint cans? Oh hear the brain cells creaking in my skull :-$
  15. Iceland have got four pint-sized cans of proper Stella for a fiver, but my brain's deteriorated too far to work out whether that's better value than Bossman's six smaller cans for a fiver or not :))
  16. Smiler Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > It takes ages to drive to Wickes/Homebase in > Catford and the B&Q in West Norwood is rubbish. > Good to have local place. xxxxxxx Not suggesting you use them, but there's a Homebase on the way to Penge (up Sydenham Hill then turn left and immediately right down by the side of Crystal Palace Park) and a big B&Q on the Old Kent Road.
  17. I'm having it. I had the ordinary flu jab last week (have asthma so high risk) but the GP didn't have the swine flu vaccine in yet.
  18. BBW came up to me in a shop and said he knew who I was because he had tracked me down from the ED forum to my Facebook page. It made me feel quite uncomfortable as I haven't posted the Facebook link anywhere and nor is my surname anywhere on the forum, so he must have gone to a lot of trouble to do it. I think it's rather strange behaviour to go to such lengths to find out about someone you haven't even met, and I'm with dulwichmum on this one.
  19. Smokestack Lightnin' - Howling Wolf

  23. Monica this is brilliant, don't know how you find so much time to do all you do though, but it's great that you do :)
  24. Was there not a council consultation a year or so back on residents' parking in ED, or have I imagined it?
  25. This happened to the old grandmother of an ex of mine, but in that case then guy knocked at the door, looked at what she had in the house and bought a load of stuff from her at far far less than it was worth :-S
