  1. Three bottles of wine for a tenner at Iceland, never mind the quality :)) Anyway it is the mulled wine season now, nothing that a load of brandy, citrus fruit, spices and heating up can't fix :))

But on the other side of the road to the station? Or have I not noticed that it's disappeared, quite likely :)
  3. Erm, now I have two foxes. Possibly there were always two foxes, but I only saw one of them at a time ....

  5. I just had a look and I think it's just childish and pathetic, but then what would I know
  6. Shame they didn't make it into a bigger Primark, the one in Peckham is tiny :))
  7. :))
  8. OMG I used to live in South Norwood, its only saving grace was that it had a station with fast trains into town :) Oh, and a lake.
  9. 10. Surely the "quite sad" remark was not about Threshers closing down but about someone being out of a job. She will probably only get statutory redundancy if anything, which won't last her long, and then what?
  11. karter Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Somerfields seems to have alot more co-op products > in-store. When will it be transformed though, if > ever? xxxxxxxx I was in there yesterday and could find hardly any organic veg, though they used to do loads, and they still don't have FairTrade wine, however it's a hell of a lot better than it was with, as you say, a lot more Co-op products, hooray!
  12. Better a house that's already been underpinned than one that you might have the trauma of finding cracks in some time after you've bought it?
  13. cathg Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > > We should have got the core dusted for > beak-prints. > xxxxxxxxxxx :))
  14. Doesn't take much though does it, FJD :))
  15. The Ritzy's not that far away, and you can take wine in, though I agree it would be even better if you didn't have to get a bus back :)
  16. We have our main Goose gigs at DHFC, and we have been assured that our venue is safe :) Just as well as we have just booked for November 2010 :)

  18. How awful. I would have thought it should be clear to an expert from the type of hole etc what had made it and where it had been fired from?

  24. Well the Brockwell Park fireworks were brill, and much better than I remember Crystal Palace being last year (and free, too!) but getting out of the Park afterwards was an absolute nightmare. I was so glad I didn't have kids with me, and amazed if noone got hurt. Total bottleneck at both tiny entrances at the Herne Hill side, with no pedestrian crossing at the main entrance (Railton Road end). People were trying to climb over the railings to get out, and apart from a few police etc at the actual exits, there was nobody apparently to give information about what was happening to the massive queues. Buses were rammed too, had to walk back to ED :))
