If anyone finds a copy of 'The Celestine > Prophesy' left around its probably from me. If I > were you I wouldn't pick it up LOL. xxxxxx Why have you got a copy of The Celestine Prophecy, hpsaucey? (great name, btw :) ) You could get three quid for it on Green Metropolis, I've sold loads of books on that after a forum recommendation, though admittedly not quite so flakey, but some of them very nearly as flakey :)) Yeh Bookcrossing, my daughter got me into it, brilliant idea!
  12. Great pix, and great flowers, well done Southwark.
  13. Yeh you missed it being open :)
  14. I tried to buy some kids' tights from Next online earlier this year, as I couldn't get them in the shop. They tried to make me open an account, which I didn't want to - in fact they DID open an account, and I had a dreadful time trying to get it cancelled, though I did in the end. It all seemed a bit underhand on their website. I found a leather belt I really liked in a Next shop the other week but they didn't have my size. They said they couldn't get it in from another branch, but it was in stock in Bluewater if I wanted to go there (nope!) I think they're just shooting themselves in the foot really. I did once have a really nice dress from Next, but it was in about 1985 :))

Or those verses they put in the "In Memoriam" pages of local papers. Or as a successor to William McGonagall. Great stuff :))

Danstable Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Haha yes, I've had the 'pleasure' of the Bab & > Stab before, came out feeling decidedly > overcharged for a less than great bit of food. > > xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx I've always felt it was reasonable value, at least for the shish - comes with loads of chips, or rice if you want, and quick and friendly service. Maybe not as good as Hizar but they don't stay open all hours of the night, and the meat I've had in Kebab and Wine has always been tender. Downside of it for me is the noise from loud music and people, not very relaxing after a stressful night running a Goose gig and clearing up afterwards, as you can't hear yourself speak, but nowhere else to go in the early hours! And really, what else can you expect on a Friday night? :) Edited to say: A nice late-night wine bar with soothing classical music would be nice ......
