Don't think you can speak for anybody apart from yourself unless you've asked "most drivers and pedestrians" what they think! Flowers certainly don't make me pay more attention to the road, though I consider myself a reasonably careful driver anyway, and I would have thought the kind of driver who was likely to have an accident due to carelessness wouldn't be affected by flowers.

So for example "Well, I tend to have high expectations of myself and other people, so I can get a bit annoyed with someone who doesn't meet deadlines even when they've been reminded." That's not a very good example, and you'd have to tailor it to yourself, but you see the principle. I've used it in the past and got the job :))
  9. I'm still totally bemused as to how they can be opening a store when they've been taken over by the Co-op. :-$

  11. :))I thought it was something like jolie a pied. My rusty French not being up to the translation, I have unilaterally translated it as "hot to trot". :) Edited to say: "Pretty to foot" can't be right, so it must be some expression I know not of :) Edited again to say: That's trotting in the pigs' trotter sense, of course, just in case anybody thought I meant anything else :))
