  1. Shelves seem to be getting emptier and emptier ..... Does this mean it's about to close? Would be bad news as it's my corner shop for the Saturday Guardian (and Dime bars and/or Ben and Jerry's when I'm feeling particularly weak-willed) :-S
  2. Hurrah! I shall be down to claim mine then :)
  3. Are there any bags left?? I missed the closing date :-S But hey I have a wonderful Lakeland bag (?) which I carry everywhere, fits into a tiny space and weighs virtually nothing :)
  4. Erm, what and where is Fenton Walsh? And what is an "annoying inflexion" ??
  5. Great live Goose music may be back before September - watch this space (again!) :)-D
  6. Ivanhoe Road, just behind Dog Kennel Hill :) Five minutes from East Dulwich Station :)-D
  7. The rumours are true, a French chef is coming to Hoopers, hurrah :) Thanks to everyone who came to our Goose night last night, and thanks to Bulgakov and Dan Maitland who were all brilliant :) The Harveys wss great too :)-D (though my hangover this morning isn't ......) The Goose will be back at Hoopers in September - watch this space!
  8. Hey, come to our brilliant free folk night at Hoopers tomorrow (may be today if you read this on Friday - it's on Friday 27th) - 8pm Bulgakov, 9pm Folk2Future, 10pm Dan Maitland. It will be fun!! And Hoopers has a great range of real ales, too :)-D Ignore Time Out whose very efficient (not) listing people somehow listed this as at the Old Nun's Head :))
  9. Hopefully it will still remain a pub - apparently it's listed so turning it into a residential property could be problematic. :-S
  10. I heard (from a staff member) that it was going to be closed for a month for refurbishment.
  11. I did try several times, but will try again, thanks :)
  12. I am again having problems - I need to put an urgent post on the Hoopers folk night thread, as the timings have changed, and when I click on "post message" I get a page saying "we can't find the web page you are looking for". The text is as follows - no obvious "bad words" :-S Please note - there is a change in the timings for this evening as Bulgakov have asked that they sing at 8pm as they are now going down to Glastonbury straight afterwards. So if you want to see Bulgakov, please be sure that you come down at 8pm. Sorry for any inconvenience, which was out of the Goose's control :-S

  14. Some of the new posts I tried to post might have said something like "I'm bumping this thread because ....." eg it's on soon or whatever. But I don't think they all did. And that wouldn't explain why I couldn't edit an existing post :-S In one case I had to start a completely new thread as I couldn't add or change anything at all on the original one - and that obviously just clogs up the forum and causes confusion :-S
  15. I have also been having a lot of problems both posting and editing posts on threads that I have started in the "What's On" section. I emailed admin about it a while ago, but have had no reply. :-S
  16. Well I still haven't got mine, from any source :-S

Needs a new stylus, hence the bargain > price of ?50. xxxxxx Anybody know how to mend a record player? Belt has come adrift on mine, and I'm not technically minded :-S
  18. Still haven't blooming seen it, hope they included some pix of Swarb :)
  19. Been in touch with the Living South peeps, and they're gonna send me one :) Hurrah, my cup runneth over :))
  20. Cassius Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Got mine - was that a photo of you Sue? > >xxxxxxxxxx No idea - still no sign of Living South in my neck of the woods !!! Will give it one more day ..... :-S
  21. Mscrawthew Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I got mine today Sue, Would you like it? xxxxxxx Hey that's really kind, I'll wait and see if it comes by tomorrow and if not, yes that would be brilliant, thank you so much xx :)

I haven't paid them anything (couldn't afford to!) and it isn't a review, as they weren't there - I sent them some info and some pix of our opening night with Dave Swarbrick at the end of March because I thought they might think it would make a good article, and they did - but, I haven't seen it yet. I thought it was going into the May issue, but they said it would be in the June one. It's interesting (well I think so!) partly because of the Swarb angle and partly because the EDT used to have folk music in the eighties, and now it has again. :)-D
