  1. 22) 'Gang activity' will be declared in response to innocent questions involving police presence in the area.
  2. 8-2 to what!? Ariel vs the jam pan? Update please LM. I am being serious now, no more of the double entendres, thank you very much. Do you need a new one or is there life left in the old one yet?
  3. 9) Learn to type faster on a mobile.
  4. 6) Sesquipedalian = good. ;-) = bad. 6a) Editing is sometimes needed to correct spelling.
  5. What about going back through the time and space continuuuuuuuuum thingy to the time before you got up that fateful day and decided to make jam? Have you considered that?
  6. The Earth is square and carried on the back of three, sometimes four, elephants. If you think you know better and want to disagree or if you just DON'T LIKE IT then just fuck off. Alright? (Sorry Mockers, bad traffic jam y'know, she said in defence).
  7. Sorry, you're wrong again. We're not talking about the orbit of the Earth. NN said 'the world is round'. That is a shape, no? Katie said 'no its not, its an oblate spheroid'. That is a shape. So stop talking nonsense about the Earth's orbit please.
  8. Hah, but what type of cola LM? :))

No, theories are that until they are proven. > Sorry people, the world is round. Sorry people, no it isn't. Its an oblate spheroid.

  11. And yes, I did snigger like a 14 year old schoolboy as I wrote that. Can't help it. This is the funniest thread for ages.
  12. Oh-kay LM, I do understand the emotional attachment to the jam pan. I have used simply fairy liquid (the green one, none of that other pomegranate and vanilla shite) in the past and a lot of hard graft with a brush. Someone suggested hcl earlier, never tried using that but I do have some if you want to give that a go. Good luck x
  13. Gang activity lite. (sorry, northlondoner)

  15. LM - face it, your jam-making days are over. Unless you get a new pan, as suggested by D-C. Mind you, its been a month since I last made jam. I've definitely not been getting 5 a day ;) Thankfully the blackberries are still going strong here. Delicious warmed with lemon and sugar pancakes. Have fun picking them today and remember to handle carefully, if too ripe, they can explode in your hand.
  16. Paragraphs, dear ibilly99, paragraphs please. You nutter ;-)
  17. richardbach Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > poste of the year lol and next what is yuor > favrite flavor of crisps lol Its a fine topic! Btw, Pickled onion (but not walkers, ugh). Sadly no-one else seems to do them anymore :(

  19. M&S carrot mash or the cabbage mash. With a microwaveable steak pudding. Dinner in under ten minutes. Probably contains a whole week's salt quota. But so what, its yummy.
  20. A handful of plums and a firm cucumber are perfect ingredients for enjoying on a warm summer's day.
  21. For brevity let me start my post with: I don't have a computer at the moment and when I am able to, I will watch all the You tube links posted on this thread in order to educate myself. I always read links by everyone that posts on here rather than simply the posters I find credible. No-one has mentioned the first law of thermodynamics yet on this thread!! I'm really surprised. I'd be grateful is someone could pick this specific point up apropo of nothing later on in the thread and link it to something completely unrelated such as that I'm not from around these parts.

This forum is a shadow of its former self!!! Really! Did no-one (no-one!!!) draw attention to it? I'd cancel my subscription if I were you and go where they properly appreciate this kind of thing. You're wasted here!!! I can't believe no-one has mentioned it yet! Don't they know anything in East Dulwich?! Makes you wonder, it really does!!!
  23. Er...like Ariel automatic ?
  24. I don't believe we've yet had the problems with over-population and its devasting effect on the world's resources and of course, the environment. However, that leads nicely towards the human race - the elite ruling class with power and money (the bastards) - taking over other planets for inhabitation.

But the trouble is LadyD, its very difficult to discern the 'facts' from these type of posts, even putting aside the cries of 'conspiracy theory'... As you say yourself, we're not all experts on every subject. I'm no way an expert on law or economics but if I see incorrect statements about something I DO know about alongside a whole load of other points on different areas of expertise, I'm far less inclined to believe them or rate the credibility of the post. I don't see the point in cherry picking certain 'facts' just because I'm inclined to agree with thenm and dismiss all the other dross but that's me and hey, its a forum. I still think this is not a new poster too... > I have no idea if what he is saying is crap, but I > hate it when people just react with closed minds > and close down any discussion of their points by > saying or alluding to it being a conspiracy > theory. > > The father and grandfather of 2 Bush presidents > were involved in funding Nazi Germany, so why > aren't any of you shocked or appalled about that? > > The Patriot Act is a disgusting erosion of the US > Constitution, as are the Terrorism Acts in the UK. > Neither of these pieces of legislation have much > to do with controlling anti-patriotic acts or > terrorism, and are used on a daily basis to > control ordinary people in both the US and the > UK. > > The banking stuff is more complex for me because I > know more about law than economics, but it's > pretty obvious that there is something massively > wrong with our financial system.
