  1. AFN Do you really want Nunhead to be another Bellenden/ED. It already has its own unique character, some good housing stock, a several good shops, pubs, cafes, village green and superb cemetery. Do you really want it to become "poncified" with expensive shops full of tat, endless organic baby shops, gastropubs on every corner, residents priced out of their homes and woe betide a Foxtons! Take Alans example and be proud of what you've got.
  2. The Royal Anthem was yours?
  3. Cheese Block do superb vegetarian Samosa's and Roti. I still don't understand the convenient shape thing with sausages etc. Vegetables can be cut, mashed, julienned etc if you cook from fresh, so surely a thawed veggie sausage is the equivalent of opening a tin?
  4. I still don't get why veggies want veggie sausages/burgers or even quorn meat shaped pieces on their plate. You don't get bacon flavoured sprouts or artichoke shaped pieces of steak.
  5. Potential for what exactly?
  6. Ed-it - a posh East Dulwich girl that hangs out in Liquorice Ed-ward - Room set aside at Kings for ED Xmas drinking casualties
  7. As above plus a regular top up of shaojiu;-)
  8. I think they want some time for Xmas shopping.
  9. Not far from ED but I hear The Rivoli Ballroom in Brockley is under threat from developers, who have offered the owners 10 million quid to knock it down and build new flats. I've never been inside but have heard that the interior is quite special.
  10. Surely not?:'(
  11. Ahhh!! Yecannywakrrrammmm!!! Shouts Snorky as he hastily sprays a Banksy copy over the Foxtons plate glass frontage.
  12. Having your post judged as "fair" by Sean just doesn't have the same punch.
  13. The birth of my third son, Enzo. My eldest son, Fabio, making me feel proud with his GCSE results. Mrs LL's face when I gave her an eternity ring. Discovering the EDF and all the benefits that come with membership. Reading Alan Dales posts and feeling relieved I hadn't bought in Camberwell. Stopping smoking, hopefully for good. Discovering the joy of cycling. The Plough reborn!
  14. . . . escaping from the flapping cat threads!
  15. Certainly not boring. Nice??? . . . . the jury's still out;-)
  16. Newbie? Once Jah has shouted at you, Sean has ripped your argument apart, Brendan has taken the piss out of your post and Keef has given you a hug, then you are no longer a newbie. Welcome;-)
  17. Dulwichmum on a bus? Not drunk but wasted perhaps!
  18. quite a political statement and not necessarily correct:))

    Tights?

Perhaps you have a tights fetishist living nearby and the different tights are a secret code. Plum with zig zags = are you up for a crazy time this Xmas Black tights = do you like dressing up in nurses uniforms Only guessing no personal experience.
  20. Master Brendan what do you mean?
  21. Aren't Veterinary Surgeons private set ups with overheads and salaries to pay like any other business or is it like the NHS but for animals? Whenever I find an animal or bird in distress I call out the local RSPCA and make a donation. They've always been very good.
  22. I wonder if The Dog will be laying on a delicious array of culinary delights as did the FHT did which won over many EDF'ers who now, as a result of the free delicious never ending feast, regularly patronise the FHT? We're talking serious nibbles here.
  23. Does ?148 include disposal?
  24. Do vegetarians really find "faggots" that offensive? I wonder how many "old sluts" also lobbied the BBC since they're editing that out too.
