  1. What's the street like? Brilliant. Just been struggling to remove my car battery and my neighbour came out (with correct tools) and helped me, and lent me his charger. Great place.
  2. Take a look at my girlfriend - Supertramp
  3. I have a second cousin with the same name and surname. She is married so it was her maiden name now but I remember being very miffed when I first discovered her as I thought I was unique (odd surname).
  4. If you've already fallen down that rocky road, I fear nothing I could suggest would redeem you.
  5. Don't tidy mlteenie. Lots of procrastinating tools at hand. You probably have a large pile of magazines that need throwing out. This of course cannot be done until you have reread them. Fix yourself a large mug of coffee and settle down.
  6. I'm all for hunt sympathisers. Tallyho.
  7. I'm sure Dulwichmum will know if there is a communal ED box. [shudders]
  8. Don't do it mlteenie - embrace the acoustic virtuosity.
  9. Congratulations - beautiful names.
  10. Tired of waiting for you - Kinks
  11. A-dees. If it were to be prounced Addies it would surely be spelt Addys. That's my opinion anyway and I'm sticking to it!
  12. Hard Headed Woman - Cat Stevens
  13. Already a thread on it: 3 of a kind
  14. I flew with a friend to the Scilly Isles in a Robin. Scared the life out of me, especially as St Mary's strip is so short the engine has to be cut (or whatever it is those Biggles types do) well out over the rocks. Every thermal is felt in a small plane.
  15. NEVER going to: go to a Take That concert eat tripe fly in a plane give my dentist carte blanche buy a worm farm Resist but might have to accept: seeing my football team never getting anywhere going to school concerts go shoe shopping visit the dentist
  16. That must be in some esoteric Kabaalah-type legend - don't appear in the authorised versions as far as I recall. I'm always up for joining a team though my sporting knowledge is pretty poor.
  17. Flashman originally appears in "Tom Brown's Schooldays" which is a rather charming picture of a good egg at Rugby.
  18. Wolf at your door - Meatloaf
  19. That would be "John McNab", BJL. Agree with comments that Buchan is brill. Also enjoy my daughter's Darren Shan books. If you like a romping sort of read, the Young Bond series by Charlie Higson are good fun and don't require any brain power.
  20. Probably hard to beat the chap in Peckham who wanted to keep 2 cloud leopards in his back garden. For some odd reason, Southwark wouldn't grant him a licence.
  21. So sorry to hear that UC, loved coming to your stall.
  22. Darling Sean, Come with me to a game. I'll ply you with gins and tonic and explain the finer points.
  23. Just an aside - I watched the first episode of Bionic Woman - didn't understand it at all. So preferred the cheesy original.
