    I think the staff at Somerfield are darlings. They even let me borrow a trolley the other day when I'd bought far too much heavy stuff. Not everyone in ED is 'fairly wealthy', some of us survive due to the value range available. If you have so much disposable income, shop at William Rose and Moxtons on a regular basis - they are good shops but will remain treats for me.

    I know what Melbourne Grove means (I think). When I listened to the UKIP mayoral candidate on the radio a few weeks ago (before they pulled out obviously) I found myself nodding along - it all sounded so rational and articulate. Let's not forget, some of the best orators have been the biggest bastards.

    Sean - some of my finest moments have been in an Aberdeen Angus steak house! Incidentally, does anyone else wonder how those restaurants at Victoria manage to stay open? I don't think I've ever seen a punter in them.

    What happened to modesty? I've just watched an inane game show where the contenstants applauded themselves each time they got a question right. Furthermore, footballers who are paid handsomely to score goals would soar in my estimation if they just quietly acknowledged their skill and didn't play silly buggers afterwards.

    For my pennorthworth, motorcyclists are neither considerate or the best drivers. Most seem to have a death wish. And the tit who struck off my wing mirror at Camberwell Green and didn't stop certainly was not considerate.
