  1. Am collecting dunce's hat on way to corner. (Tis about 38 years since I heard the Jim Reeves version - the mind plays funny tricks)
  2. Sultans of Swing - Dire Straits
  3. I've discovered that a great aunt was in Holloway for stealing a rug from a shop in Oxford Street. We have a Campbell in our family (we were always on the other side) And, (don't tell my dad), an Irish Catholic about five generations back (not seemly for a presbyterian glaswegian)
  4. In my experience of the Irish Festival one becomes lashed off one's face with beer!
  5. No - near misses following the 777 crash landing.
  6. Go Now - Moody Blues
  7. Hendrix covered a Cream song but I can't remember which offhand.
  8. For the want of a comma, the sense was lost?
  9. Just heard you on the radio Fonson - that was such a near miss. Glad your daughter survived ok.
  10. Hit me with your rhythm stick - Ian Dury & the Blockheads
  11. Done that so many times I have perfected a technique to spare blushes. Keep on waving/calling but look past their shoulder as if you are aiming at someone behind them.
  12. And Van the Man covered Jim Reeves "Have I told you lately that I love you" - not sure which I prefer. And Donny Osmond had a bigger hit with Twelfth of Never than Jimmy Young. [And never begin a sentence with and]
  13. No it's not. But apparently it indicates you are a hot lover!
  14. Sure you're not pregnant Monica?
  15. Is it just my buttocks that hurt then? Great to meet you all - sorry if I got a bit vicious.
  16. It's pretty normal except when I use the 'back' function, then it's painful.
  17. Mostly there - thanks
  18. Hosted a strange tabby cat who took shelter from the storm. Aaah.
  19. It is a v interesting church and well worth a look.
  20. Smoke gets in your eyes - The Platters
  21. First cut is the deepest - Cat Stevens. Innumerable covers have more airtime (Rod Stewart, etc). Not as good as the original and they all miss out a whole line of lyrics which drives me nuts.
  22. My PC's been worse since Mark removed the slow warning!
  23. Sean, you patently have never been to a point-to-point. Great family/friends day out with lucious picnics, booze and part of the fun having a flutter. No vice where I'm concerned. Ditto a day at the races is very convivial.
  24. Dream Lover - Bobby Darin
