  1. Not having it on TV does make a difference, I think. I'm working somewhere that I can't listen to TMS and can only snatch the odd glance at Guardian OBO which has the effect of making it less vital. Also no-one at work understands or likes the game. I am in cricket purdah. I think it is safe to say (notwithstanding the world cup) that we are deep in underdog territory.
  2. And the Fixed Odds Betting Terminals, and their impact on betting shop proliferation in London?
  3. Should have backed the girl from Peckham! https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/horse-racing/49190163 Shame they are making such a big deal about what she's wearing.
  4. I don't agree but it's your call. The ones I've seen locally look rather smart. I didn't do it with mine so have to stand on a chair if I need to look out; if I were to do it again, I would add the gap. This website has some examples. They also do mirror film so you can see out but just offers a reflection for passersby. https://www.purlfrost.com/privacy-window-film/
  5. You could use privacy film with an inch gap all the way round. That way you can peek out but a casual passerby can't really see in.
  6. G'day Declan. Don't apply for a position at TMS. Exciting times ahead...
  7. "Back to Life" is the coming out of prison series you may be thinking of. Written by and starring Daisy Haggard.
  8. Ha! Well, it was a jolly good shake up on the first day. And anything that ignites a passion for cricket is a good thing.
  9. I hear you're getting good at golf too!
  10. Why does Adys Road need a 'parklet' (awful word) when there is a play park and a green?
  11. Looks like you won't be needed in Dulwich Village! https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2019/jul/18/locations-of-50-new-london-water-fountains-revealed
  12. Cricket to come back to terrestrial TV forever, in my stocking please.
  13. Hope it's not like the old Co-op building on Rye Lane where the facade was going to be kept, but mysteriously fell down.
  14. I received my sticker last week. The small caddy arrived yesterday so I had to fish out food bags from large bin - yuk.
  15. Baffling. I'll get me coat...
  16. Maybe this will inspire you instead:
  17. You are about three weeks too late. Mostly turned to berries now.
  18. 16 Princes Gate, Knightsbridge, London SW7 1PT It's the one with window ingress.
  19. I think you have forgotten that Montague?s Second Revision of the rules is thwarted by the Capulet Gambit. Therefore, you would land on Covent Garden.
  20. Oh, how dreadfully prosaic. I need some excitement in my life. I even dug out the wind-up radio.
  21. Are we under siege? Two Chinooks and other choppers keep flying overhead. Or is it an attack on Trump blimps?
  22. @Rosetta No. I think I'll recruit an army of retired or flat-footed chaps to patrol our bins, armed with pitchforks. (They don't like it up 'em).
  23. "I?m the first to ask how to stop other people from using a stickered bin that isn't in their garden." I know I'm not that memorable, but I did query that on 14.4.19.
