  1. You are about three weeks too late. Mostly turned to berries now.
  2. 16 Princes Gate, Knightsbridge, London SW7 1PT It's the one with window ingress.
  3. I think you have forgotten that Montague?s Second Revision of the rules is thwarted by the Capulet Gambit. Therefore, you would land on Covent Garden.
  4. Oh, how dreadfully prosaic. I need some excitement in my life. I even dug out the wind-up radio.
  5. Are we under siege? Two Chinooks and other choppers keep flying overhead. Or is it an attack on Trump blimps?
  6. @Rosetta No. I think I'll recruit an army of retired or flat-footed chaps to patrol our bins, armed with pitchforks. (They don't like it up 'em).
  7. "I?m the first to ask how to stop other people from using a stickered bin that isn't in their garden." I know I'm not that memorable, but I did query that on 14.4.19.
  8. St John's bell has been ringing for about five minutes; all part of a solidarity with Notre Dame thingy.
  9. What's to stop unscrupulous peeps filling someone else's brown bin? Will Southwark provide locks? Why did the Council send us all letters telling us we will be getting further letters?
  10. According to "Country Life" article*, coots aren't all fluffy and sweet: "... where duck nest proliferate ... will take eggs opportunistically ... and will drown duckling by towing them down by the legs." "Where food is plentiful, the chicks are fed for up to two months and may stay on parental territory for 14 weeks. However, in leaner locations, they are discouraged after the first few days and only the strongest and most persistent two or three per brood survive." * "As bald as a coot", Country Life 13.02.19
  11. If so, could you do me a huge favour please and drop off a small package* in Garlinge? Happy to contribute to petrol. *Nothing dodgy, I swear!
  12. i) Some decent cove has guerilla-gardened in the hollow tree stump that was filled with litter near SMBS. Very pretty, thank you. ii) Seeing Wesley's face on the new banners really makes me grin. [Haven't worked out Her Maj and corgis' relevance to ED yet).
  13. Do you have sash windows? These can be removed and furniture lowered down/pulled up via the window. PS: don't cry: turn that energy into destroying the sofas - it could be fun!
  14. *countdown to August 12th commences*
  15. All I want to know is if Charing p-t-p will take place next weekend?
  16. Bloody old timers: think they can pop up at will.
  17. Is there a Facebook link? I don't use Twitter but happy to share on FB.
  18. Bit tense, what? One wicket / 46 runs required
  19. Saw a host of starlings taking a bath in the flooded carpark of Lidl, Peckham yesterday. A lovely sight but of course they flew off when I took my camera out.
  20. "Never seen a Cat run away from a Fox." I have! One of my cats was chased by a fox and escaped by throwing itself through the slightly opened window of my sitting room. Fox was too big and therefore foiled.
  21. Not only Peckham Rye according to this: https://www.theguardian.com/cities/2018/aug/31/londons-parks-accused-of-creeping-privatisation-of-public-spaces
