  1. If so, could you do me a huge favour please and drop off a small package* in Garlinge? Happy to contribute to petrol. *Nothing dodgy, I swear!
  2. i) Some decent cove has guerilla-gardened in the hollow tree stump that was filled with litter near SMBS. Very pretty, thank you. ii) Seeing Wesley's face on the new banners really makes me grin. [Haven't worked out Her Maj and corgis' relevance to ED yet).
  3. Do you have sash windows? These can be removed and furniture lowered down/pulled up via the window. PS: don't cry: turn that energy into destroying the sofas - it could be fun!
  4. *countdown to August 12th commences*
  5. All I want to know is if Charing p-t-p will take place next weekend?
  6. Bloody old timers: think they can pop up at will.
  7. Is there a Facebook link? I don't use Twitter but happy to share on FB.
  8. Bit tense, what? One wicket / 46 runs required
  9. Saw a host of starlings taking a bath in the flooded carpark of Lidl, Peckham yesterday. A lovely sight but of course they flew off when I took my camera out.
  10. "Never seen a Cat run away from a Fox." I have! One of my cats was chased by a fox and escaped by throwing itself through the slightly opened window of my sitting room. Fox was too big and therefore foiled.
  11. Not only Peckham Rye according to this: https://www.theguardian.com/cities/2018/aug/31/londons-parks-accused-of-creeping-privatisation-of-public-spaces

  13. To wander is the miller's joy!
  14. Fabulous Ice Fires' hazelnut. There - you can close the thread now.
  15. No. Only Captain Kirk can wear trousers four inches off the shoe.
  16. That's the one. Gosh, you are all adventurous. Just going to the Southbank leaves me giddy.
  17. Pasta dishes are meant as a starter, or primo so they wouldn't be as big as a main dish.
  18. Streatham has good selection of shops - cheap last time I went in. Ramsgate has the best/cheapest options.
  19. I'll hold my hands up to red wine, but I don't think the rest of the epithets fit me.
  20. "I do not think he realises that women do not like his advances." If it is the person I think it is (name begins with B), then he has been told repeatedly that this behaviour is unacceptable - and I am going back over 10 years. He was banned from a community space because of it. It is assault and it should be dealt with by the police.
  21. Well that's the first I've heard of it in Adys Road and my car is currently parked in Muschamp Rd. Am I not invited? Do I need to shift my car if I don't want to be blocked in?
  22. No, but I vaguely remember James Nesbitt twirling a stick in some film.
