  1. Does anyone know how much it costs to join the pool (when it finally opens) - I just want a swim only membership, I checked out JAGS which is lovely but expensive to join up and further away than the fusion one will be when it opens.
  2. I fell up the escalator at London Bridge last week. I was running so I didn't miss the train and fell with a scream and a thud. I now have escalator tread marks on my shins!
  3. I think it is going to be South London Pacific...I guess we can walk to Elephant and Castle if all else fails and pick up a night bus from there. It has good reviews on the tinternet! Thanks all. Checked out the zoo disco - looks cool! however the date I want is fully booked, boo!
  4. Good people of East Dulwich! I am turning 23 next week and I want to know where to go for my birthday ? I would like to stay local but to my knowledge there?s nowhere on a Friday night in ED that you can have a big of a boogie. Can anyone prove me wrong? Does anyone have any suggestions as to where to go? The South London Pacific bar in Kennington looks really good but a bit of a pain in the butt to get back from at night. I would like to go somewhere easy to get to, with a bit of character, where we can have a bit of a dance and get a bit merry. I look forward to your responses, and the winner gets an invite! Thanks!

Hiya Sorry if this has been mentioned before but I don't want to trawl through the site - when I post a for sale post, I can't then reply to the post if someone responds? it just goes onto the preview page and won't actually post. At first I thought it was my browser but I have tried in both Chrome and IE and it won't work. Thanks
  8. Walk along Las Ramblas, enjoy all the street entertainment, walk along to the beach and have crepes, look at all the cool sculptures, and head for the unfinished cathedral!
  9. Thanks all :)
  10. Yeah - the first lady I spoke to said she'd honour the price but then she said 'oh I had better check the team will credit your account with ?20, one second', came back to me and said 'I'm really sorry, they're refusing to honour the price' so I asked to speak to her Manager and she said 'good luck, I will put you through but I spoke to her for a good few minutes arguing your case but she wouldn't let me do it'. It was the Manager I spoke to who said no. It's incredibly annoying as I still really want the phone but they're selling it the cheapest but I don't really want to give them my custom.
  11. I have a screenshot, and I directed her to the mistake on the website, but she refused to honour it. Annoyed me how ?20 to me is a lot of money but to them it's not even a penny...I am a nobody but I could have been Holly Willoughby for all she knew and cancel my advertising contract with her shops over this. silly lady!
  12. Hello Any lawbods in here? I am trying to purchase a mobile phone off of very.co.uk, the phone says it is in the sale at ?179. However, when you click through to add it in the basket, it comes at ?199. I phoned Very to tell them this and that I wanted the phone at ?179 but they refused, saying first of all the sale had ended, to which I responded 'well you shouldn't still be advertising at sale price then, that's false advertising'. They then said 'the phone was never at ?179, the website is a misprint, there's nothing we can do sorry'. I was annoyed and told then they were false advertising, but apparently a 'misprint' doesn't count as false advertising. I know it is only ?20 but it wound me up the way the lady treated me - she hinted that I was lying when she couldn't find any price saying ?179, and then when I said the phone WAS in the sale at ?179 as I had in in the basket yesterday but the website was crashing when I tried to set up an account to pay for it, she said 'that's very unlikely, the phone has never been at ?179'. It was you stupid bat!! So have I got a leg to stand on? I already gave her hell for an hour and she didn't back down...I also annoyingly forgot to get her name... Thanks! PS edited to correct mistakes written in anger lol
  13. you're not looking for anyone for 10 years younger are you? i know just the person to go on it...
  14. Ooh what's korfball?
  15. i can safely say only one of the 3 single 23 year olds are obsessed with shoes, puppes, kittens and sparkly things!!
  16. Hiya I see someone posted already about trains leaving early but I can't remember if it was a separate thread or under this one, but it is still happening - yesterday the 7.46 from ED left at 7.45 (I was watching the clock as I noticed it arrived at 7.44!) normally I get to the station on time but sometimes I have to run for the train as it is a bit mean if the train leaves even a minute early!! Can't they just wait at the stop till the designated time like busses do? Plus second the motion for the clock on platform 1 - i can't tell if the LEDs have stopped working or if they're just a bit dim but you can't see the time when you go up the hill (the clock is working on the other side though) Thanks
  17. not true, my house is full of 23 year old nice girls with no man, and can't find any men in ED either, where are they all!!
  18. someone outside Peckham Rye station on Sat morning asked me for 86p to fill his car up with petrol...don't know if he was genuine but it was only 86p so I gave it to him (no more, no less!)
  19. peanut butter on a mouse trap. works every time! cheese is old news.
  20. if they're avery labels, you can go onto their website and they have free downloadable templates so you just type in the boxes and press print and it'll print exactly where you want it to
  21. Jo brand was at the dulwich park festival on sunday with all her family in tow!
  22. bon3yard is too young?? how old is he? in fact, how old are most people on this forum? it is hard to tell!
  23. why, are you a single hot hottish game male?!
  24. I live just off East Dulwich Road and it really is perfect - 5 mins walk to Lordship Lane, 10 min walk to ED station, 15 min walk to Peckham and Peckham Rye station, 10 min walk to Peckham Rye park, 20 min walk to Dulwich Park. Plus as I live off the main road there's practically no traffic noise. Though I think ED is under a flight path as I seem to notce airplane noises a lot more than when I lived in Kent! I like Peckham but wouldn't want to live there, the one way roads confuse me!!!
