one time last year I waited an hour for the 37 bus at Goose Green, before 3 came along at once. Then the one I got on terminated in Wandsworth. The times of the bus on citymapper/the bus stops also tend to be incorrect and the 37 turns up when it pleases.

Can anyone recommend a restaurant near London Bridge?
bloonoo replied to yeknomyeknom's topic in The Lounge
Hixter, Vapianos and The Breakfast Club all nearby -
you should include ages too - otherwise could end up with a bunch of 18 year olds vs 50 year olds...

former East Dulwich councillor - how can I help?
bloonoo replied to James Barber's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Hi James Hope you're well. It may have already been discussed on this thread and may not be your area, but I was wondering if you knew when the road markings in the Herne Hill end of East Dulwich Grove and Half Moon Lane were going to be repainted, specifically the zebra crossing ones? They're very faded and not very obvious. Thanks -
Hi everyone My friend is currently in Cambodia doing volunteer work for a kids residential centre. She is the only Occupational Therapist there and desperately needs funds to help make the place better, the kids have holes in clothes, no shoes, no toothbrushes etc etc - I am going to do an appeal over here with all my friends and work colleagues etc, but I need some way to get the money donated across to her. I looked at JustGiving and it looks like only registered charities can do it (they're not one), and something called Yimby but it all takes a cut of the money, plus with Yimby you only get 30 days to raise the funds. Does anyone have any ideas (other than me literally giving out her account details and people transferring cash to her - which understandably I don't think people would be too happy with), that we could try? I am probably being dim and overlooking something very simple!! Thanks

any recommendations for a restaurant that does good smoked shredded chicken? tried the one from oriental star, upland road on Friday and it was vomit inducing - it didn't even resemble smoked shredded chicken. -
Apart from my last car, both mine and my mum's cars have always cost under ?3000, and in my case less than ?900 (my first car was ?125). All have passed their MOTs and have required little maintenance until they broke to the point it wasn't economical to fix them anymore - Mum usually spends more than me and hers have all lasted around 4 years, my most expensive car was a fiesta at ?850 with 80k miles on the clock and lasted with no maintenance for 5 years until it broke and would have cost me ?400 to fix, me being a cheap skate scrapped it for ?200 instead. If you buy carefully - check service history, mileage is correct, look for 'mayo' in the engine oil cap, listen to the sound of the engine, check for soot coming out of the exhaust, all the lights work, starts first time etc etc and you should be OK. And try suss the seller out too - why are they selling it, do they seem dodgy etc. It's never fully guaranteed though as my last car blew up on the motorway and we did all these checks and it drove absolutely fine for three weeks, then died after a trip up to Wales and back.

yes that is exactly what they are, thank you!!! now how to get rid of them....oddly enough they aren't in any of our grains, and mainly stay in the bathroom - no grain in there! Our bathroom backs on to our next door neighbour's garden so wondering if they're on their plants and have found a way in...

Hello! To save calling out a pest control person, does anyone know what these little bugs are? They started appearing in our downstairs bathroom and have multiplied and are now in our kitchen too which is gross. They are about 2mm long, have 6 legs and a weird snout like thing. (photo attached, this is them dead in the waterbowl - the bottom right thing is a fly!) https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwQAh3crfZojRU5Cd216eWhZUGVJekRlMldMaEtrNkpDNHRj/edit?usp=sharing They also appear to like water as they climb into the cat's water bowl and then drown...and they love the bath too. Anyone know what they are and how to get rid of them? We have killed many but they keep returning... Thanks in advance!

Hi I live in a semi detached old victorian house. It has 4 double beds and 3 floors, with 4 adults living in it. Just been working out some bills etc as seems to be really expensive and have worked out that gas and elec combined is coming to between ?4.50-?4.60 a day for the last two months. This to me seems really expensive, what is everyone else's average use? We had our heating and hot water on for 3 hours in the morning and 3 in the evening, we don't use our TV much but we all have laptops, plus usual usage of stuff like phone chargers, hair dryers, microwaves etc etc. Would be interested to hear your views!

Hi all Looking to buy a property and can't afford anything in ED/nearby. Lots of properties in Croydon and South Norwood - anyone got any opinions on it? South Norwood looks good currently from google earth view, looks like nice country park near Norwood Junction and obviously fast train into LB, but I know nothing else about the area - anyone got any experiences? Thanking you

I want to sign up for this year but can't for the life of me remember anything about it other than the above, does anyone know what I am talking about and can help? thanks

I don't understand how we're not allowed to discuss on the forum, but they have a trip advisor page and a yelp page? just looked at their menu - 5.60 for scrambled eggs on toast - that's ridiculous (though to be fair i expect quite a few places in ED charge that amount). oh my goodness and 6.95 for a bacon sarnie?! i hope it's served on a gold plate. anderson's isn't good value - I paid ?3 for the tiniest brownie in there -

Hi James. Can't see if this hasIus been.mentioned before but are there any plans to repaint the zebra crossing lines on goose green roundabout? They're really fading away and some people don't stop at the crossing. Thanks. -
would love to do something like this but can't find anything that fits in with 9-5 working hours.

Really sorry to hear that :( I hope you're ok!
