Heya About 6 months ago I found a website that did swimming fitness training in one of the local pools around here, it was a 6 or 8 week session for about ?100. I want to sign up for this year but can't for the life of me remember anything about it other than the above, does anyone know what I am talking about and can help? thanks

most expensive coffee spot? currently Le Chandelier...
bloonoo replied to tinkerbell's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I don't understand how we're not allowed to discuss on the forum, but they have a trip advisor page and a yelp page? just looked at their menu - 5.60 for scrambled eggs on toast - that's ridiculous (though to be fair i expect quite a few places in ED charge that amount). oh my goodness and 6.95 for a bacon sarnie?! i hope it's served on a gold plate. anderson's isn't good value - I paid ?3 for the tiniest brownie in there -
Grand Opening of THE FLYING PIG, Goose Green,
bloonoo replied to The Flying Pig's topic in Request a Tradesperson
We went on Sunday for lunch. Took 40-50 mins for our burgers to arrive, with one of them arriving about 10 mins after the other two. It wasn't really that busy, and the lady who sad down and ordered about 15 mins after us got her burger first. Being polite Brits we didn't start to eat until the final burger arrived, so two out of 3 burgers were cold. Having read forum reviews we noted chip portions - still a bit on the small side, I had 8. they were nice chips though. don't think we'll go back - atmosphere wasn't that great, it was cold by the door and the food wasn't amazing. -
Brixton is a tenner if you aren't a member. Does anyone know how much the badminton club at harris academy is and what standards play?

Sainsbury's: eggs-cruciating experience!
bloonoo replied to buddug's topic in Request a Tradesperson
For future reference, to test if eggs are safe to eat or not, put them in a jug of water. if they sink they're fine, if they float they're off. -

Just wanted to add my two pence worth - I booked an appointment at Rocks with Miguel after reading the reviews here and my terribly bad habit of never using the same hair dresser twice. Miguel is lovely - such an interesting character and a bit mad but fantastic. Very happy with my cut, colour and suggestions to my hair - I will definitely be back this time!!!!!!

former East Dulwich councillor - how can I help?
bloonoo replied to James Barber's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Hi James. Can't see if this hasIus been.mentioned before but are there any plans to repaint the zebra crossing lines on goose green roundabout? They're really fading away and some people don't stop at the crossing. Thanks. -
would love to do something like this but can't find anything that fits in with 9-5 working hours.

Really sorry to hear that :( I hope you're ok!

lizbells, there was no price for the brownies. all the cake slices were prices at ?2,95 which is fairly standard i thought, and generally in my experience a brownie is less superior than a slice of a cake and therefore i wrongly assumed it would be cheaper!
-
this is unrelated to coffee but related to price - i paid ?3 for a brownie in andersons last week - is this a little bit expensive??? considering most brownies in borough market are 1.50 - 2.50...and this brownie was nice, but nothing special, and i had it to take away. if i had of known the price before i bought it, i wouldn't have bothered...

When I went, I got caught out and ended up eating kebabs because the majority of the restaurants appeared shut at 8.30-9ish, so watch out for that. We didn't do much touristy things but instead wandered around on foot - was lovely. enjoy!

Travel advice - 2 weeks, ?1000, 3 girls, where to go?
bloonoo replied to bloonoo's topic in The Lounge
Hi all Probably going to Sri Lanka now- but I need to get vaccinations done ASAP as we're leaving on May 13th. Does anyone a) know what vaccines I need (internet varies from Typhoid and hep A to all manners of things) and b) best place to get it done? Admittedly I have not yet tried the doctors but I know getting an appointment is like gold dust and I doubt I will be able to get one in time.... thanks all -

I'm not very lucky so I stay away from gambling! We're now looking at inter railing and doing eastern Europe, though need to work out our route and whether it would be cheaper to do flights and bus instead of an inter rail ticket....
