  1. What's the reg?
  2. An expensive sportswear shop replaces an expensive deli. Why is this 'the final nail'? I'd sooner this, than a bookies or an estate agent.
  3. Now I've got the Macc Lads' song of the same name in my head...
  4. Get a 2nd hand or refurbished MacBook Pro or Air from a reseller. Will come with a guarantee too. Here's a cute yet powerful 13" MacBook Air for ?399: http://www.portableuniverse.co.uk/Apple+Laptops/Apple+MacBook+Air+13inch+Intel+Core+i5%2C+4GB%2C+128GB+SSD+MD760BA+%282013%29.html
  5. Bike was attached to ground anchor, with decent chain (but not usual heavy chain, which is in the west end attached to an anchor there after similar attempted theft. A cover does work, but these scum know what they're doing.
  6. You have to stick your bumper out into the road to see at this junction. That's a visibility issue. Solve that first.
  7. Motorbike thieves out this morning again, trying for the 2nd time in as many months to steal my bike. Two youths in dark waterproofs on a big commuter-type scooter, stolen reg: R5 NWF. That's another ?500 replacement ignition barrel and lock-set to find...
  8. Re yellow lines - I said that over two years ago, when the build-outs were installed. Apparently long sight lines make traffic speed, which is bollocks.
  9. It's because, in spite of it not being your fault, you're considered more of a risk. No wonder people drive uninsured.
  10. You should report this to the police. The pitbull is a banned dog: https://www.gov.uk/control-dog-public/banned-dogs
  11. They're probably training. They'd do better to stop the drivers on their phones, as they're much more likely to cause a crash than someone doing 25mph.
  12. If the police give chase, the pillion removes their helmet because they know the police have to stop chasing. Health & safety you see. That's what they told me.
  13. Thanks for the heads-up
  14. It's actually worse for emissions as most cars are labouring low in third or high in second gear.

You're right. Actually, they're good to sell on eBay for around a tenner
  16. Search 'broadband test'. MoneySuperMarket and Which? have them.
  17. Sky, which was terrible, 3/4Mb/min average. Threatened to go to BT and now they've given us fibre optic and it's 20mb/s
  18. One lane, roadworks
  19. It's mixed scrap, so leave it out and it'll go. Chuck the glass rotating plate in the recycling bin.
  20. There does seem to be more of it lately. All seems to be the same size dog too.

Presumably you'd agree to one installed in your front room, pointed at you then? As long as you don't break any rules...
  23. There's going to be a load of tickets issued to pizza delivery mopeds, I reckon
  24. I don't think it's illegal to park on this kind of hatching - it's only there to define the road. This urban style of hatching isn't even in the highway code. Pulled out of there tonight - it's like having to look around a single storey building while that Enterprise van is there. I said ages ago, before the expensive build-out was put in, that there should be two cars' length of double-yellows on the right hand sides on that junction, but instead, they went for the expensive option.
