Anywhere there are skips, there are nails and screws. blackcircles.com has the cheapest tyres, buy them there and they deliver to local independent fitters for installation.
On Lordship Lane this morning. This is normal practice, and has been since they were introduced, but on this cold day the emissions are more obvious with a cloud of fumes hanging at head height behind the vehicle. Isn't this illegal in London?
Agree, but could LL have been built up for the tramlines? Also, the grand building in the background is similar to the Georgian buildings around the Crown & Greyhound in Dulwich Village.

The ring-necked parakeet has been here since the late '50s. Rumour has it that they are all descended from a flock that was released onto the set of the African Queen when it was being filmed on the back lot at Shepperton studios.
Change it to a small roundabout, like Goose Green's, with zebra crossings. Cars will have to slow from all directions then and traffic will flow. There's space.
The crossings and roundabout are fine. Safer than traffic lights at similarly busy junctions, which have the effect of making drivers speed up when they should be slowing down.
Here's another suggestion, and it's proven to work: remove the white lines down the middle of the road. I've said this before (and James B. was interested). No need for unproven speed cameras. Just a little uncertainty and drivers begin to think (just like the DoT's slogan: THINK!) http://www.roadsafetygb.org.uk/news/3817.html
She is a professional Roma beggar. The money you're giving her is being syphoned off back to the Fagins back home. Give your cash to the Big Issue seller outside St. Christophers instead.
