  2. No CPZ please. Just hop in it and roll it down the road.
  3. Could hear in on the south Circular by Dulwich Woods. Suspected it was on Dulwich College grounds or nearby.
  4. Down until lunchtime. 'Rodents have chewed through the fibre.'
  5. You'll get around ?1000/day for commercials filmed in your house.
  6. Report it. These are bike thieves.
  7. Waze has definitely sent me around some roads I would never think of using.
  8. It's the school run mainly. It's really quiet in the mornings now, and when the schools are open, generally quiet after 0915 until the afternoon. A CPZ will kill the high street.
  9. Heard scooters buzzing around at around 0430. Fellbrigg area. Possibly linked.

    AA or RAC

RAC covers the driver in any vehicle, AA the vehicle only AFAIK. I'm with RAC for this reason. However, make sure you have Homestart as extra, otherwise they only attend if you're a certain distance away from your address. They also won't recover if your vehicle is immobilised due to attempted theft or vandalism, as I found out recently.
  11. OP: Did you report it?

  14. It's the BaE/Avro 146s extending flaps for landing.
  15. Hi James, just a small one - there are two recycling bins outside Londis that haven't been emptied for ages and are now overflowing.
  16. Drop those 13-year-old 176s and watch the pollution levels drop on Champion Hill
  17. If a bus has just gone through the green bus lane filter, the light resets, hence the following bus having to/choosing to cut into the middle lane.
  18. Some non-tfl, non-red route roads allow, but not enough. It's a mess. DKH should be clear to use, as should Walworth Road.

I hear them buzz by every other night, sniffing out whether my bike is properly chained up or not.
  20. The press were correct - the (very courteous) police who attended one the many thefts/attempted thefts of my bike confirmed this. 21. That central reservation bit is begging to be hit one day
  22. DL is right. Also, a cover, bulky alarmed chain/lock and an alarmed disc lock. The current MO of thieves is to break the ignition/steering lock and wheel the thing away. Make it as hard as possible. Don't forget to take the disc lock off though before you ride!
  23. Some of the cars I've seen clamped are worth less than the fines/cost of tax, so I'd say they've realised it'll cost them more to remove, store and eventually scrap these vehicles.
  24. It's been there a while, but started out with all wheels on the road.
  25. Hmm. M.O. of motorbike thieves - a cheap rechargeable grinder will go through even the thickest chain in a couple of mins. Happened to me in the West End in Jan.
