  1. I use one of these: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Oxford-BRUTE-FORCE-Wall-Anchor-Ground-Anchor-Motorbike-Motorcycle-Lock-Point/202600864252?hash=item2f2bf3d9fc:g:JEIAAOSwSwNbTfgV:rk:1:pf:1&frcectupt=true Cheap and effective, with a thick chain.
  2. Yep. Had one with 'left in bin' scrawled on it. Bin has since been collected. ?65 gift now in the back of the bin lorry.
  3. Also, the new central London uLEZ is 24 hour operation, on top of the usual CC charge times.
  4. A CPZ won't give you this privilege. janepinkcat Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I don't think it unreasonable to want to park > outside my house, it would however be a miracle, > but I do think it's unreasonable to constantly > have to park two streets away. 5. Correct, which CPZs, having lived in two of 'em, won't solve. In fact, they made it worse, and one had to pay for the privilege. rahrahrah Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Ampersand Wrote: > -------------------------------------------------- > ----- > > Your concern for ?our lovely and > > unique high street? reeks of diesel. > > Oh come off it. 6. Herne Hill is Lambeth. Southwark's LL's 'could' be a full-day system. Your Melbourne Grove driver will still be able to pop to the Lane and park, BTW, as their permit will be for the whole area. As will everyone.
  7. There will be no old=fashioned ticket machines. It'll be RinGo pay-by-app/phone. It'll also kill the lane.
  8. They're meant to push straight through, it's one of the main rules. I think there are lots of temp staff on lately. No excuse though.
  9. It's all here. You CAN burn wood, just properly seasoned wood. The stuff from garage forecourts is not seasoned. https://www.london.gov.uk/what-we-do/environment/pollution-and-air-quality/guidance-wood-burning-stoves-london
  10. Just back home from a week away to find a missed postage card with 'parcel in bin' scrawled on it. The bins were emptied last week.
  11. Getting ready for the DH homecoming
  12. Put on charge when absolutely flat, but still in gear? Then once with power, trundled into the school. That's not a high-impact; maybe 10-15mph. The 'brick' wall will be a single skin clad of brickwork.
  13. Another parcel missing this week. Ebay seller had to refund, poor chap.
  14. Several parcels missing, no calling card. This is why I always use Hermes.
  15. I've simply stopped using Royal Mail for anything bigger than a letter.
  16. Nothing on that link about Cpzs
  17. I smelled that. Smelled like wood burning. Chiminea?

  19. I saw that last week, when it was just a little dimple
  20. I?d sell the rogue phone on eBay, being honest about the battery life in the listing. You?ll still get ?150 for it.
  21. Anything late c2015+ EURO6 diesel or otherwise petrol EURO3, roughly 2006. If it takes AdBlu, it'll be compliant as a diesel. Or hyrbid/EV, but good luck finding a cheap hybrid/EV MPV. mikeb Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Which people carriers will be compliant?
  22. "There are going to be a lot of vulgar 4x4s that are going to be utterly toxic and unsellable in London soon - don't get caught out if you intend splurging on new wheels." There are going to be a lot of ordinary cars that are going to be [deemed] utterly toxic and unsellable in London soon. People carriers, hatchbacks, saloons, crossovers. Anything diesel registered before 2015, generally. Shockingly, you'll still be able to drive up to a 15-year-old Euro3/4/5 black cab, which won't even be fitted with a DPF.
  23. Nathan Barley reference
  24. The new bridge is on site, on the back of two heavy haulage trucks on Lyndhurst Grove. Surprised it hasn't been tagged already.
