  1. Went there the other week. the BBQ now staddles the old main room and the ex-kebab shop, with space for seats running round the back. Looks very much like an overflow area. It's always been busy when we've eaten there, even mid week. It's bang on if you want a cheap, hearty meal or an alternative to a curry after a few beers. The musakka is great.
  2. Isn't it just Hizar expanding their seating?

  4. And there's a Camberwell in Melbourne - it even has a Denmark Hill Road. Dulwich Hill: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:DulwichHill5.jpg
  5. And good to see you've re-used the old Unwins chillers. Pity, I quite fancied one as a booze fridge in my shed.
  6. Actually, I was wrong: it should've been 'packed with the bourgeoisie'. Apologies to the proletariat.
  7. And the unecessary environmetal damage - isn't it a by-law offence to be parked with one's engine running for no good reason? Take a photo/film, post it here.
  8. Trains and buses packed with the proletariat - that's Ken's dream, isn't it?

  15. Bring it on - these are the people who crash into us, and the reason why us safe drivers are being clobbered by draconian speedhumps, distracting speed cameras and high insurance.
  16. "Some fool has even seen fit to make it a box junction, which means it is nigh on impossible for more than one car for each lights change to (legally) turn right at rush hour. " But motorists can enter a box junction to turn right? A small roundabout would do the trick, one of those flat, painted ones that allow buses and trucks to negotiate the radius easily.
  17. Somerfield = expensive and crap. Waitrose = expensive and good. Hmm...
  18. Had one good experience (fantastic woodpigeon and friendly service), one bad experience (tough, gristly sunday roast beef which they wouldn't change).
  19. Nandos? That must be the worst fast food in the world. Worse than KFC even. I'm off topic...
  20. The jury's still out, but they'll have to do better than that to dislodge Green & Blue (USP: rare & interesting); Nicolas (French & expert); Somerfield, Sainsbury's (convenient, big range) or the local offies (local & friendly). The only place that they could worry is Theshers.
  21. Top trivia. Although the video is slightly more disturbing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8md51JnCNFQ
  22. ...teacher comes to break it up/back of the head with a plastic cup/oh what fun we had...
