I thought about starting a thread entitled The stop "Miles" in his tracks campaign but I think I decided against it !!!

I have two cars (which I do need as one is summer and one is winter and the two don't mix seasons) and I also have a dropped curb and grarage Based on the argument above that we shouldn't have dropped curbs then 1. I would need 2 parking spaces 2. My 1970's summer car wouldn't survive the local Yooths attention 3. I wouldn't be allowed two permits (or I would get two for one space) 4. It would cost me a fortune to maintain my classic cars (more then now) I agree with the statistics that a drive is normally shorter then the length of a car and as a result 2 additional cars can (and do) park outside my house. Another problem is that with so many properties now converted to flats the demand for 'resident permits' would be higher then the number of spaces that the council would install leading to even more problems then now (this has been borne out in other areas) Equally if you permit Barry Road then that would push the problems into the side roads and equally as with most schemes residents from one street would want to park in others if they couldn't get outside their flat / house, thus causing more congestion in streets that are currently free or have low problems ....

Dear ED Forumites It has come to my (and 'The Unstoppable Sex Machines') attention that a certain forumite, who will for obvious reasons (and the fear of reprisals down a dark alley) remain anonymous as far as this discussion is concerned, is having way too much success with the ladies on here at the moment. The person who started this linked thread must be stopped at all costs before it is too late Now, I am not a jealous person by any means and I wish the fellow all the best of luck in the world and I don't wish to sully his character and reputation as a ladies man, but it must be pointed out that he is in fact a bit of a CAD and Bounder, someone who loves them at the forum drinks and then forgets their names the next day (he has even confessed to this in writing) I have heard a discreet whisper that he has been actively been reading the discussion thread about what to have for lunch and doing something unsavoury whilst Trisha is on (thanks Bob for planting that idea in everyone?s heads) and to make matters worse I have even heard that he may no longer be a virgin (Ladies what would your mothers say about such a man) Now it is far from me to throw out wild accusations at him, but he posts on here at all times of day and night and that does lead some people to question "does he work?" - Ladies I ask you, do are you looking for a man who can support you or one who sponges off you .... just ask yourself that one simple question when you look at a man for the first time. so I am here, with the support from certain other forum members (who will remain anonymous, much as K' The Unstoppable Sex Machine has requested) to drum up support from other forum members to stop this CAD in his tracks before he breaks any more ladies hearts ... for that is what he does I can tell you ladies, he is no gentleman when it comes to playing fast and loose on that score. Simple answer is NO Residents around the barry road area don't want permit parking bays, they restrict parking outside your own house, cost money and stop friends visiting and delivery drivers Please don't try and gain support here for a council based money making scheme, in times of recession no one can afford the cost just to park outside their own home...

Hi Jo Maybe consider getting a cat flap fitted with a device that either works on a magnetic contact (worn around your cat's neck on the collar) or one that reads his/her chip so that it only opens for your cat I saw one of the latter at Pets at home on the A3 last weekend but guess they should be commonplace Luv

Oh Phattmatt, how lucky you are to be working from home There is only one lunch that I can recommend that is better at home then anywhere else Home made Bacon and Egg (with Optional Mushrooms and tomato) sandwiches on lightly grilled bread... Think about it, no one will comment when the softly fried egg yolk starts to slide down your chin, no one will point at you when you have egg or tomato sauce (or HP) down you tank top, no one can tell you that you are too phatt to have another one... what a luxury to have to be able to make one of those when you want...................................
