They are biding their time. Still think it will be a Belgium v France final.

Switzerland may be under performing tonight but France really impressive so far.

No matter what precautions you take to protect your phone, the majority of people will always get their phone out, wherever they are to read a txt message/reply. I'm guilty of getting mine out at every bus stop to see when the bus is due. You know it's risky but reading your txt, knowing the bus times is more important.

He needs to start Barkley, Lallana & Lambert. I've been saying this since the beginning & he didn't listen!!
-
What's the betting that Hodgson will now start all the players he should have done before, just so as they get to start a game in the World Cup. It may be too late, but if he does, so hope they win just to prove a point.

New steps: Step 1 = Costa Rica beat Italy Step 2 = England beat Costa Rica 5-0 Step 3 = Uruguay beat Italy 5-0 Sorted

If Italy beat Costa Rica, will they even bother to beat Uruguay by a few goals? And will they even be able to? Especially if Suarez plays. Italy will know they are safe & Uruguay will know that they'll only need a draw to qualify.

I didn't say I hated all Spaniards EP. Just dislike Spain as a country, generally speaking, so was obviously quite pleased by last night's result. Nothing personal. I certainly won't be removing you from my Christmas card list!

Animal abuse is rife in many countries but Spain is one of the worst. I was asked why I dislike the country & that is my reason. I've never been there & never will. Anyway, back to the football. Despite the shed full of chickens in the Cotswolds, I'll def be supporting England tonight. Agree about Lallana & Barkley. I would like to see Lambert play too.

Same as there was a huge anti fox-hunting, anti badger-baiting, anti hare-coursing movement in the UK. Difference is, our country cared enough to do something about it & get it banned. If the majority of Spain felt the same, why is it not banned? Because they obviously don't care enough & it's a way of life to them,

El Pibe Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > erm, yeah, a bit disturbed by that comment too. > But you know, donkeys, siestas, @#$%&!!! Bull fighting (resulting in the death of a bull), ripping heads off chickens for sport (resulting in the death of a chicken), the lancing of the bull festival (resulting in another death of a bull), the PeroPalo festival that terrorises a donkey. Up until a few years ago, throwing a live goat from a tower (resulting in the death of the goat). All in the name of what? Festivals? Until Spain start respecting animals & seeing them as living creatures rather than unfeeling toys they can play with, I'll continue to hate the country.

I hate Spain (as a country) nothing specifically against their football team, but as they are Spanish, quite happy right now.

Are you on holiday RD? Noticed you have been missing lately from this & the world cup thread.

You all need to encourage your women to join in/watch the world cup with you. We can be quite good at bets/predictions etc. (and even better than you!) It's not just a man thing you know?!

I'm not the driver in question so it would be interesting to hear his take on events, but can't imagine he would be so intent on catching the perp that he would run down innocent pedestrians in the process.

If the car mounted the pavement to deter a thief, surely that meant there were no small kids/pedestrians on said pavement? Would he have really done so otherwise & risked mowing them all down? Very much doubt it.

It doesn't matter whether my bin is in my front garden or outside my house. It has my house number written on it & belongs to me. My bin. My rubbish. Taking anything from MY bin is stealing as far as I'm concerned. -

I'm sure I'm not the only one planning my whole week/month around the world cup. Sad I know but it's a necessity every four years. Whether to try & watch whole match on-line at work or dash home in between & miss crucial second half. Trying to find time for shopping, household tasks etc. Fitting in sleeping is bad enough, but when are you supposed to cook!? Until the goal he assisted, Rooney wasn't even there. Lambert should have replaced him halfway through 2nd half. Together with Barkley & Lallana (who should have come on sooner), it might have made all the difference.

Wow! RVP's in his element tonight. Wasn't expecting this. Reminds me of the old Holland from years ago.
