I just remember growing up in the 70's/early 80's when it felt like Germany were favourites to win everything & quite often did. I always used to support the underdogs so never really liked them. Old habits die hard!

I know how you feel JL but really can't bring myself to support Germany!

Although I've totally lost interest since my teams were knocked out: Would like to see..... Brazil beat Holland for 3rd place. (because I kind of feel sorry for Brazil now & I really don't like Holland) Argentina to win (because although Germany are clinically efficient, I've never really liked them) And let's face it - you have to actually like someone to support/hope they win.

If DulwichVillageLady was genuine, I might be inclined to comment on his/her posts. As it is, I find all this a bit tedious and have better things to do than be drawn into a discussion by someone who is only trying to get a reaction/wind people up.

Belgium's performance was very similar to both France & Columbia yesterday. They all seemed intimidated by the opposition from the start & looked resigned to the fact that they were never going to win. Gutted :(

I certainly didn't draw a long straw Jacqui5254 & you have no idea of my circumstances. I just like my privacy & don't want strangers in my front garden.

It has nothing to do with race, colour, background, age, religion etc etc. I don't actually want ANYBODY coming in my front garden & going through my bin. My rubbish is personal to me, whether it's torn up letters/documents with personal details ( I don't have a shredder) or anything else that belongs to me. I don't know how people think this is OK. It's trespassing, stealing & an invasion of privacy. And no-one knows for sure if these people are just desperately looking for food/clothes etc or partaking in criminal activity such as ID theft.

So disappointed with France. No killer instinct or desire to win. Germany not great either. Or maybe their workmanlike performance just comes across as boring.

So wait til your day off, alight train at same stop, follow from a distance...... And bingo! You know where she works. You're then a step further. Just come back here for further advice. Good luck x

So what are our thoughts on today's games? My heart is ruling again so I'm predicting France to beat Germany & Columbia to beat Brazil.

So glad Belgium won. Finally showing just how good they are. Just the small problem of getting past Argentina now!
