  1. Well I was going to add Sean that alternate usernames are an ideal way to increase anonymity and decrease employment impact (if that does exist).
  2. Nope...doesn't affect me at all. And most employers that object to use of forums at work have them blocked. It's very rare that something like a forum comment or noticeboard or twitter etc loses someone their job anyway.....and only if they post something so controversial or personal that it undermines their job or their relationship with their employer (so, true of politicians and public figures for example).
  3. Errr I think everyone has so far said it doesn't affect them Axe...so I'm guessing your question has been answered as a resounding NO.....
  4. Yeh but would you like to take part in our parade? It's shaping up to be corker!
  5. the lovelies waving their Union Jacks That's my pink corps and the rainbow float.
  6. Oooooh here comes shoes wars.....
  7. I agree.......his first post and thread was the divide of cheese. I think he knows the forum and it's characters well.
  8. Ooooh that would be cruelty to shoes for sure!
  9. I think HAL should say who he is talking about. Could be controversial!
  10. He wants to wear the heels! He posted he's a size 9..... But nice to see that shoes are back in the forum ;-)
  11. You can only take people by the words they write...and they have to take responsibility for what they write. Personally I am against censorship but that doesn't mean we should make excuses for Axeman when he/ she comes out with nonsense about chief whips and the like. A quick look at his posts on other threads I think shows what he's really up to and I'm not feeding it anymore.
  12. He is so obviously a troll....why pamper to that? Ladymuck Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I agree karter. S/he has behaved poorly (but so > have others, including myself, in the past - it > happens), has apologised, and has been duly > reprimanded. Hopefully this has been a learning > experience...
  13. Striding heels clashing on mettled roads make for a more appealing sound than the thunk-thunk of wobbly wellies. If I throw in an 'over the rainbow' float as well then maybe LM can drive that?
  14. Can I lead the 'pink' corps for those out proud and patriotic (and where the men wear the heels)?
  15. Yes I think too that the economy over the next four years will decide any election. I wouldn't bet even against another hung parliament. The cuts are going to hurt deep. Quids is right though in his summation of the UK being a centre placed electorate. New Labour's success came as a result of Thatchers conservatives shifting too far to the right and leaving the centre ground for New Labour to occupy. That is the reason why Blair never sat easily with the left but it was the only way labour were ever going to get elected. The worst thing that could happen for Labour is for them to swing back to the left. They'd be better off staying in the centre ground (even if it offers little difference between the Coalition and themselves) and then hope to benefit if no recovery comes or the recovery isn't strong enough. They could also hope to pick up former lib dem votes too. As for ED.....he's just as bland as Cameron and will probably be no more able to lead labour to an outright majority than Cameron was.
  16. I think Axeman is jrussel.
  17. And three of them weren't in the world cup as well!
  18. Gosh I was a bit strong...lol..for that I apologise. It was 4 am amd no doubt following a few beers! It is not phobic to discuss politics or culture. And in contrast to the previous detailed posts that at least try to engage in discussion yours said nothing about anything being discussed.... But if by all means you want to start a thread that discusses what might be construed as Islamophobic then go ahead.
  19. Ha ha *Bob*............hilarious.
  20. I simply don't have the energy or patience to indulge in the facade of goodwill that exists among these curious online communities. I find it false, and amongst all things I detest insincerity. Let me point out that a LOT of people have met each other on this forum. A lot of people are also friends....because we are local to each other. There is nothing false or insincere about it. In fact many people who move into the area find the many events/ groups organised by local people a great and easy way to start to make friends locally. So I suggest you all see me as your new Chief Whip Comments like this just antagonise. No one will take this kind of comment seriously and why would you think anyone would think anything but tos**er when they read that? So either you set out to provoke of you are genuinely arrogant. *crossed posts with you guys before saying the ame thing*
  21. And your unfairness to woof? Who many people have met, both he and his lovely family?
  22. So not really an apology at all then...just more criticism of people you know nothing about on a forum you've only just joined...it seems to intentionally wind people up on. The only fire you've had to fight are the ones started by yourself I'm sorry to say. So it's a bit rich to then talk of 'impudence or insubordination'. Oh and you'd do well not to threaten people as well. There are many very intelligent people on this forum, not to mention many more with infinitely better manners than you.
  23. I totally agree with you Brendan. And it's because it's a predominently local forum that it is such a gerat place to advertise local events and find local people/ make new friends that one has something in common with. Of course not everyone will get along with everyone else, that's a normal part of life but why anyone would criticise Georgia for organising something that is well attended and clearly enjoyed by those that attend it is mystifying.
  24. Axe murdering resident of the Palace here...who likes a bit of music too.
