  1. I've had a feeling that Cink was going to do it for some time now. Lets see.
  2. Thanks Goofey. That makes sense. I know it's a mugs game but a little bit here and there makes some events more interesting.
  3. Any idea if it's near enough to Cardiff? I need an airport for the travellers to land.
  4. One is already Steve. What would you say the attraction is given most will be underground fairly soon anyway?
  5. Given what was written before I ask the knowledgeable folk on the EDF to suggest a venue for 2010 as I am the host. Would expect around 12 people to be there in June methinks. Would need to be not too far away from an airport i.e. Stansted or Gatwick.....want it to be out of town. Have done Centre Parcs several times and would like something else for a change. You may know something from previous experience. Otherwise I will have to start researching.
  6. I agree. You get out of it what you put into it. If you choose to think about it you are likely to do better than if you don't.
  7. Please do as otherwise you may cause offence.
  8. Chaps interesting to read your posts. I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to betting. I have a weekly one on football during the season but I'm interested in learning about online betting which I imagine you do. The only time I did this was a couple of years ago. Having had a few jars and knowing nothing about horses I decided to bet on the Grand National. I used my credit card to bet and subsequently found I'd been charged on my statement more than what I had bet. I did query it but don't remember what I was told.Does betting this way cost you more or what's the story? Declan

I think you'll find Mic has a 'k' at the end otherwise you're talking about a microphone!

That may have been a transfer by someone (Crouch maybe),but if it's the official Barclay's one then it didn't for me. I won the EDF league thank you very much!
  12. How much did you say you had to drink David?
  13. The theme of your post Brendan (IMO) is that it is a game you love like a lot of people and we really don't want to be debating foul play, just good rugby.I remember watching some tri nations match years ago and being in awe of it's physicality (spelt incorrectly no doubt). It brought rugby to a new level. Lets hope we never get to the stage where the players have to play in gear like American footballers do. Well done to the Lions for winning today albeit a little late. Shame that people were priced out of attending the games though. If you ever get to watch the BaBa's v the All Blacks in 73, which is sometimes shown on ESPN classics you will see the greatest match I've ever seen.
  14. Brendan Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Which was exactly my point about the british press > a few posts ago. Frankly the 'English' press have little to write about given there are so few English players involved. As for whatever it's called, it is a sick offence. I was told an interesting story about the Australia v France WC Final in Cardiff a few years ago and I have no reason to disbelieve the source. In the first half John Eales complained to the ref that the French were gouging. Come half time nothing had changed. Eales told the ref that unless it was sorted they would not reappear for the second half. This was referred to the French captain, who told his team to play like men. It did the trick and put an end to the gouging. Australia won of course. My first experience of 'cheating' came as a shock to me. My local rugby club entered a team in the summer soccer league. I was like 15 or so and fast, but light. I was playing with grown men. After a tackle where both me and my opponent fell to the ground I was astounded that being as fit as I was then, I was unable to get back to my feet as my opponent, a heavy chap, used his body to make sure I couldn't move. I have much more respect for rugby payers than footballers who fall over and make a meal of it as often as possible.I hope, that even in the professional era rugby does not lose the one thing that makes it different, you have a drink with your opponent after a match.I know the Lions and the South Africians will be doing so tonight. It's a great game, just keep it clean please!
  15. Mick Mac Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > No - apparently he was found guilty of a lesser > charge, not guilty of gouging. > > Cleared Interesting the press here still refer to it as gouging. I think Quinlin got a longer ban for possibly a lesser offence!
  16. Don't they have any sense of direction then? Our new neighbour has two cats. How long will it take them to familiarise themselves with the area?
  17. Emily Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > This forum is fantastic for finding cats. My > little cat was found via the forum, for which we > are very grateful. Not a cat owner so curious as to why cats get lost?
  18. From what I've read he was found guilty of gouging. Isn't that why he was suspended?
  19. I suppose Murray is Scottish now?
  20. Maybe he was just helping Fitzgerald re-adjust a contact lense? I see they SA's have now accused O'Gara of gouging. I can only presume they are being sarcastic give his contribution of missing a tackle and giving away the winning penalty which surely wouldn't have happened if there wasn't some self abuse of the eyes involved.
  21. Hope Vickery has more of a chance this time. No expert on forward play but presume Shaw's bulk will help. See they've changed to a 5/2 split on the bench. Would have liked for Earls to have had a chance. I'm not convinced by either of our wings. What happened to Fitzgerald? Is he injured or dropped?
  22. There isn't one iota of evidence that O'Gara deliberately meant to offend HM. They fact that he had his hands in his pockets means what exactly? Remember the fuss when Bush I think actually put his hand on her shoulder. So what, she has a title but don't tell me she isn't human like the rest of us. Johnson did what he did prior to kick off and THAT was obviously deliberate. Shame my u tube clip didn't generate any mirth which goes to show how bloody seriously you take something that isn't.
  23. So long as its not eye gouging which is the lowest of the low, I think this test will explode into open warfare. We may leave SA beaten but I'd like them to remember us.

Not in the same league at all. What Johnson did was far worse IMO.
  25. Ah since reading about it here I've been doing some research. The attached just goes to show how comfortable Ronan was with his hands in his pockets and how far the relationship between the countries has come since the 1920's! Why not to have your hands in your pockets
