  1. I'm still playing. In fact I started 4 weeks into the season so am happy to avoid relegation if I can. How many go down to EDF 2?

The Spanish call it a Paraqua (possibly not spelt correctly) which translated means 'for water'. Umbrella..............what's that all about?
  3. My boy has a TV in his bedroom. He hardly ever uses it as he spends most of his time on his computer (also in his bedroom). This being good or bad I know it is too late to reverse it. If you want to control children you've got to start in their early years. Eventually they grow up and start thinking for themselves. Not sure how to stop that! PS He spends his Summers in Spain where he hardly ever watches TV and doesn't have a computer. I think it's the weather there plus the fact you go out here and you probably end up being mugged or at least on the receiving end of an attempt as he has been 3 times.
  4. I too play this game on occasions and am also entered in a little known annual (family) competition called Le Dwarf Cup in Cannes in July. Don't think it's worth practising for though. However I am interested in where in the park is suitable to use as a court?
  5. 'You're boring me now'
  6. The attack of the lettuces.............what else could it be?
  7. I've never been there as I don't eat meat etc but I found it funny this afternoon to see the queue and a gentleman from the bar opposite cross the road and enter the butchers with a tray that must have contained at least 5 pints of beer. Would those have been for the customers or the staff?

    Xmas Movies

fish Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Cinema Paradiso, fantastico. I've watched it several times and still love it. A great movie.
  9. My Mrs. got a ticket on LL on Thursday not realising she was parked illegally i.e. after the time one could park legally. However, she pleaded with the wardens her case without any success but did take the reg number of the car they were using which itself was illegally parked. We will cough up the fine as she made an honest mistake, but what about the wardens who were also illegally parked? Can they be sanctioned?

    Xmas Movies

there's a thread somewhere on this subject
  15. I'd like to know who I am! Sounds easy doesn't it. Just sometimes I do know but most of the time I'm just full of my thoughts about anything and everything! Don't bother thinking about this as that's the last thing that helps if you want to know too!
  16. Nice to see a happy ending to a thread here.................on the off chance if you see any marbles lying around, they might be mine!
  17. Which issue is it?

    a joke

I'm afraid I don't get the joke either! I speak to a lady on the phone at work called Sooty, but have no idea where her name comes from. I remember Sooty and Sweep........sort of, but what's the joke? Maybe I'm just a thick Paddy!
  19. Wasn't there but my partner was. Well done for trying something most people couldn't be bothered doing but still feel they should support in theory and yet moan if it's not perfect. We are imperfect and the last one's to see it!

    Great Gigs

Must have been good to be jaw dropping...............I once enjoyed the Fureys company after a gig in a small place in Erin. They were what you call tinkers here but good guys and not bad musically. Most observations are subjective so who knows what's good. My teenage son thinks noise is good..........well I call it that.

  22. Dulwich Mum you sound awfully snobbish for someone who mixes with a family of sausage makers! At least I think it was sausages...........it may have been a radio soap in Ireland many years ago.........either way............do you know how to be yourself?

    re

We pass judgement because it is in our nature to. It is also in our nature to overcome this as something about it does not seem right. When we reach that point we understand something about our life. It is not based on what we think of other people as that changes like the seasons. We need to know ourself and if/when we do that we will be happy and judgement will not exist. Ce la vie!
  24. thanks...........I thought humour had died!
