Do you know him personally or is it just his television persona you don't like?

  3. If you don't tell me why 'Mr' is reviled I'll report you to the 'starting a new thread unnecessarily police'. Where's Sean?
  4. Is this a wind up........what are 'without polite','complete a miserable cow'? I'd guess the first is impolite and the second a jigsaw puzzle? I first thought this subject was about a little known B movie. On reflection I think it's something to do with a haircut. I presume Willis B Hair have an 'A' shop for their better customers!

  6. This is more 'witnessed on a Dublin omnibus' Driver stops at bus stop in Blackrock village (not the end of the route). Driver disembarks. Driver enters pub next to bus stop.......10 minutes later driver exits pub wiping his lips, and returns to bus and continues on journey. Not one word of dissension from passengers!
  7. Not sure............think it's because I never heard of anyone called Sfield!
  8. How much anonymity are you hoping to have.I think your name is Anna! Am I wrong?
  9. And you want that because................
  10. Perhaps people should just give the place marks out of ten? It sounded great to begin with until the rats invaded, ate all the good food and for spite turned off the heating before they left!

  12. I searched with my surname. I post with my real name. Not sure why others have to make one up but maybe you can answer that?
  13. If that's addressed to me I don't know what you are writing about!
  14. I found myself at a book launch in Dublin! Bloody Hell is there no privacy?
  15. Try Miami then........it's off season and bound to be 30+ in December if I remember correctly.
  16. December in Miami Beach is hot and the South Beach is great, though if you want somewhere nearer but not quite as hot in December look at my 'advert' for Cannes in the Wanted............section.
  17. Wouldn't worry about quoting out of context. My posts hadn't much to do with 'Flats for Sale'!
  18. Is this a competition? If so started in Longford..Dublin..Hackney..Tower Bridge(outside of it but near enough)..Hanwell..East Acton..West Hampstead..Hammersmith..Streatham..Fulham..one or two I can't remember and East Dulwich 20 years. What do I score?

  20. .......I'd not have had the pleasure of learning by my mistakes!
  21. Are you sure R.F.Foster was Irish? I just wonder on what grounds he thought we had an unruly nature.I question this on the grounds that we seem to have a good reputation abroad which is somewhat different to that of our English cousins in some instances. I also thought the influence of the church was very apparent long before the nationalist struggles and don't remember ever reading of a link between the two occuring due to the 'struggles'. I believe it's only in recent years the control of the church over the people has diminished. Am prepared to be luminated by anyone more knowledgeable on either subject. ;-)

Sorry about that.........don't like C&W myself but he made me laugh!
  23. 'Illunimous' sounds like a great word but what does it mean? I don't know if we can be blamed for savaging grammer in Ireland as we learnt it from ye. We have enough problems trying to pronounce 'th' to be bothered with the rest. I think it's a tongue thing as my spanish missus says things I couldn't possibly repeat.
