  1. Can this thread be deleted please?

You don't have to like the English to live here but if that's how you feel why advertise it?
  3. I've never heard of him but I'm not really into poetry. If I was honest I think it's a waste of time and your extract doesn't change my opinion. I had a friend in my teenage years who has become quite well known as an artist but his work left me wondering what it was about it that people found interesting. Must be something wrong with me I suppose.

  7. Keef, this gift doesn't equate with your fantasy team's results does it? I'm sure there is a reason but don't know what it is. Prey tell.
  8. We lost..................translates very badly but that's life!
  9. Ha..........you think you can fool me with that Spanish stuff. Sorry but I'm married to one so I know what your on about! Well at least the easy stuff.

In some places I don't think they would notice frankly. The arm(severed) could be stuffed up your sleeve. However all in all I think it's a bad idea(for reasons mentioned) and needs more thought put into it. Be back later!

  14. Sorry............just needed to say it....rugby match.........hopeless cause
  15. Perhaps a new thread on the subject of 'Pink' is in order!
  16. You could use the scanner to check your balance beforehand I suppose.
  17. That was the 70's. Some places won't take cheques anymore. I suggest bank account holders be implanted with a microchip which can be updated online or remotely, and shops, pubs etc have scanners you just have to wave your hand over to pay for your goods. Not sure about the technology but it would rule out the need for cash points!
  18. I trust you will get at least three Hail Mary's DM. That should sort you out!
  19. Got it...........thanks to you both.
  20. This should help you make a decision...................... http://www.independent.ie/travel/travel-advice/the-rudest-travel-book-ever-written-1091634.html There's a summary at the end of it!
  21. It's you again.....................aaaaaaaaaggggggggggggghhhhhhhh. Thanks.

PGC, I only asked why he was reviled and you have answered my question- 'it's just a cheap gag'. I think a suitable Irish expression to describe this thread is 'feck the begrudgers'.
  23. Would someone kindly tell me how this is done?

Do you know him personally or is it just his television persona you don't like?
