  1. Daft comment, of course they do, and I regularly announce the Police Ward Panel meetings, and Community Council meetings, where you can also meet them and go along. And instead of whinging on here about the times, you could of course email them with your above comments (maybe you already did), on the email address I also usefully gave. Sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
  2. Yeah they are. Just not as much as the New York Dolls. Patti Smith is still my Goddess though.
  3. At St Thomas The Apostle Church Hall, 81 Evelina Road, SE15 3HL Focus for this one is "Young People", so you can all go and have a moan about them. Oh - maybe that's not the point. Also is discussion with police and Safer Neighbourhood Team and Warden updates and their presentation on their new powers. (They have XRay Vision now!) Also, Peckham and Nunhead Area Action Plan Update, and car clubs. "If you are a Southwark Resident and have paid someone to look after your children or an elderly depdenant or a dependant with disabilities, so that you can attend this meeting, you may claim an allowance from the council. Please collect a claim form from the clerk at the meeting." I mean, there really is no excuse! Except for me. I'm working. Still, done my bit and told you lot about it. Now I am off to the pub.
  4. Just off to the Clockhouse.
  5. This does affect some of you on the East Dulwich side of the Park and indeed the leaflet mentions The Gardens specifically so dear moderator - please allow this in the ED Issues section. Ta. Just had a leaflet through my door being the Peckham Rye Safer Neighbourhood Team newsletter, and informing me of the following: 6 May 2009 4 to 6 pm public meeting at Cafe in Peckham Rye Park 12 June 2009 12 till 4pm Community Bus at Peckham Rye Park by Strakers Road (one assumes in the car park). Email them for information [email protected] 020 8721 2443 for more information.
  6. 'Ello. That one. Answer to the second question - a few occasions, personal stuff. And dazeykat, so good to know you.
  7. Then he's not so perfect is he.
  8. Or buy popular theatre tickets a year in advance and sell them for 100% markup...
  9. Well done for the info Loz! Love this forum for all the help and information we give to one another!
  10. OMG are people enjoying themselves again?

All very well and good Marmora Man, so they should not sell them on here, but rather auction them on ebay.
  12. You are trying to change the behaviour of the Great British Public. The same people who think it acceptable to: procreate and then wonder how to bring up the resulting new human beings; throw their litter out a car or just on to the street; wander across the road talking on their mobile; drive recklessly; smoke, and blow smoke into the face of someone coughing badly whilst asking if they are alright (Saw that today). Add your own examples! Good luck!
  13. I used to listen to Robert Elms regularly and tried SO hard to "tolerate" his 'down with the lads' ways and his accent/class chameleon like qualities. He interviewed me a couple of times and changed his class talk accordingly. In the end I just had to stop listening. Then Chris Morris on The Day Today (or was it Brass Eye) did that fabulous interview with Darcus Howe. I just found the script. CM: ?I?m sitting opposite a man, he knows nothing, he talks all the time, the result is he?s a trenchant buffoon, he had no idea how to present television shows, he looks ridiculous in that fashion wear. He swans around all the time hoping that people will recognise him, when infact nobody?s even remotely interested. He?s taken up enough time on this show already and he hasn?t even opened his mouth. God knows why he?s here, I?ve nothing to ask the guy. And for all I know he may be a coco shunter too. Darcus Howe. DH: ?What?s a coco shunter?? CM: ?Coco Shunter? That?s just what I?ve got, er, oh, sorry, that?s the introduction to Robert Elms. Sorry. Do you know Robert Elms? I?ve just read out the introduction to Robert Elms." So I shall play my Mott The Hoople without his prompting. Greasy little bugger he is. And he doesn't like XTC. Pahhh.
  14. Who is Shakesphere?
  15. With the price of blueberries, Blueberries is a luxury item!
  16. Dammit what was question number 5.
  17. Ohhh then there's no problem is there! Cut carbs in the afternoon to fix the poo situation and continue as before. :)
  18. Brilliant post. Brilliant. Best post of the week award imho
  19. Oh, and if you don't mind we are childfree; childless implying we are less than human or something, or less of a human for not wanting kids. Ta very much. Babies and kids are not boring. They're the future. They're funny and noisy and tiring and demanding and screaming and enquiring and fascinating and irritating and rude and vindictive and generous and sweet and kind. In short, they are like adults who haven't quite worked it all out yet. But not boring. They may be bored, but that's because they have parents who don't know how to inspire or teach or indulge them. But never ever boring.
  20. The question was asked, the Fastest route. We answered. Motorcycle! Now, if you want more comfort and have more than one suitcase, that's quite another question! ;)
  21. Answer to number four: the market forces mean they're wanted. When people stop going, they'll close up. Answer to number one: probably they're taking too much time clearing up after the little ones. Answer to number two: don't care. Complain to management. No point asking us! Answer to number three: We don't need more chains here. Cheners is fab.
  22. I thought she left it too late herself? Thought that was a sort of acknowledged recorded fact. Anyway, moooooving on.
  23. I agree with reetpetite. I only drink good real coffee and am a coffee snob. Have our own machine at home. I do drink two or 3 mugs a day. You could try substituting one or 2 for decaff (tho I absolutely do not see the point!). However, as far as regular poo situation is concerned, try not eating carbs after about 2pm. Seriously, worked for me. I'd be anxious if I did not have coffee but then again maybe I do not get the kick others do. It never keeps me awake at night. I could give it up any time I wanted, yeah yeah yeah I could. Just don't want to!
  24. A public house is charging people to come in?
