Read the squalid story of the demolition of the Excalibur prefab estate in Catford https://municipaldreams.wordpress.com/2014/03/18/the-excalibur-estate-catford-a-working-class-blackheath/
I did many illegal bikey things as a yoot and back then would have thought this was a fine act of stick-it-to-the-man rebellion, and even joined in. Now I am old I want them all strapped to a tree so the dogs can piss on them On the upside it might keep the trick and treaters confined to barracks next year
I would think the police are examining YouTube clips, CCTV and FB for ringleaders and stolen bikes. To have chased them around would have made things much worse.
Back in the day before the day when we were very poor, my flatmate used to take breakfast in the Co-op. His particular favourite was a pasty from the cold cabinet which he would unwrap and eat before getting to the checkout with a pint of milk.
For years I've been observing pissed off and swearing drivers heading north in the mornings and south in the evenings and not felt the slightest urge to get back out there and mix it with them. I'm surprised there aren't daily road rage killings in London. A lot of my fellow workers were arseholes so I don't miss them much. It takes me twenty five seconds to get to the office, you can pick and choose when you work, you can drink beer at your desk and whenever possible I try and give myself the day off. Any help?
