  1. Apparently there are lots of houses available in places like Romania where the prices are cheaper then here. Artful
  2. Neigh lads There are still fix-em-uppers to get, go down to Aintree or any other steeplechase course and you can pick up a broken down nag in a shot ! 6 months of lower leg remodelling and Horses Under The Hammer will come around and film you Artful
  3. I agree, we need a car park in the area, it makes it easier to go dogging and the view from the Peckham Rye car park is getting boring (third Thursday of every month unless it is raining then all round Aunt Sadies house for a spot of M&S, sorry S&M !) Artful
  4. hi Numbers no idea, still closed as far as I can see, pity as the food was tasty
  5. went to use Eastern Night takeaway at Barry parade tonight, a place I have enjoyed good food from before Christmas and discovered it was closed curious to know why or is it another victim of this oppressive rain :-(
  6. its obvious that this extreme wet weather is causing problems and misery all over the country at the moment and I pity anyone effected by flooding or rain / wind damage but so help me if I hear someone quote "I have lived here all my life and never seen it this bad" on the news one more time I will scream and scream until I am sick !
  7. How is this going to be enforced ? Are the council expecting the already stretched thin local policing team (formally SNT) to stand there and monitor the speed of cars whilst houses are being broken into ? Or will the council be putting cameras in next ? Either way, as it is a council set limit and not a national speed limit, enforcement will be almost impossible plus the number of crossings (as previously mentioned) will make it a fairly pointless exercise
  8. Ready meals, just say neigh (whinny whinny) http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=QkjN7nGHRYU&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DQkjN7nGHRYU&gl=GB
  9. cross the bridge and go to the folly !!
  10. Maggi sizzling steak advert where the annoying kid and dad agree that mums a genius, then again she must be to convince them that the packet mix is better then cooking a real meal for them! Now that's a rubbish advert in my mind
  11. Interesting point, which may well be covered by the agreement between a soldier who signs up and the army. If we still had national service and conscription then I think the Supreme Court would have a valid argument however as today's soldiers choose a career in the army where death or injury is part of risk then they may not. I remember a mother a few years ago saying that "he didn't join the army to go to war" after he was killed, and whilst I sympathise with her for her loss, he did enter an agreement with the army to go to war as required by the country. I guess the difference is that the war he was fighting could be seen as unnecessary.
  12. The teleportation Accident by Ned Beauman The "Hero" sounds like he has my sort of real world luck
  13. Toilets ! Toilets ! Toilets ! Errmmm ... too late Clean trousers !!

Hotsauce - if it's just a bit of "Afternoon Delight" your friend is after then does it matter if it is East Dulwich or anywhere else that rents rooms by the hour ? I guess this time of year it is too cold for al-fresco-shagging !!
  15. oh lordie Rowan Atkinson filming in East Dulwich is a good reason to stay away from the filming in my opinion...
  16. Disappointed (and showing age) as I thought this was a discussion on steps to help older or less active people in to VW's (dubs) Sigh, the youth of today and their fancy music terms, bring back ABBA is all I can say ;-) Goes back to Horlicks and old geezer monthly

  18. Now I could be just a throw back to the education I received through the medium of "carry on" taught by professor Sid James but does cockapoo sound like some dodgy practice that George (you know the one) does in toilets ? http://www.cockapooclubgb.co.uk/ Someone should have thought more about the breed name I think ;-)
  19. I agree, it is sexist and what about widowers / single fathers raising their kids without mum Personally I think the mum in the advert is a bit over zealous about Christmas, when we should be celebrating the much publicised "birth of Christ" and being with family rather then spending shed loads of money on food and presents at the supermarket Besides, it's still weeks till Christmas and every man knows all the shopping and preparation happens at 4pm Christmas Eve ;-). Advertisers always get it so so wrong
  20. have you alerted the local police SNT to this or trading standards as it would be good to catch them in the act !!
  21. beware as the dodgy window cleaner will be there before you know it ...
  22. dropbox syncs between all devices that your account is running on It's a useful tool and you can always delete the file from dropbox when you have finished with it
  23. Maybe this is how to distract football thugs at a match, if these ladies were at the den, no one would want to fight afterwards.. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2229409/Dallas-Mavericks-debut-new-cheerleading-outfits--compete-Cowboys-legendary-ensembles.html?ICO=most_read_module
