  1. Thanks DR. So far it?s not tiling but showing different open programmes in the same way as Windows 7. Guess it must know I?m just an old fashioned girl.
  2. Thanks Diable Rouge for the link. It's taken about 4 hours but I am now up and running with Windows 10 on a laptop 7 or 8 years old previously using Windows 7. I didn't get a prompt asking me to pay or to enter a license number.

  5. No i don?t put any birdseed out but I?m a pretty sloppy gardener which means there?s usually quite a few plant based titbits, and the insects they attract for the birds to enjoy. The birds will be coming soon to forage for all the little twigs and stalks I haven?t bothered to clear away for them to build their nests. The best year was when a pair of magpies spent a lot of time strutting around the lawn, collecting uncut and decomposing cuttings for them to use as mortar for their nests. The long tailed tits made themselves at home on my viburnum bush. 6. I had a pair of long tailed tits in my garden in North Cross Road a month or so ago, the first I?ve ever seen there. 7. I called about 18 months ago on a Thursday afternoon and was automatically put through to SELDOC. I was later told by FHRGP that they are closed every Thursday afternoon for training.
  8. There?s something very familiar about Fitzgeraldo?s style of posting ...
  9. Now I know your first post wasn't serious. And if this second post is, it would still be against the law - see my earlier post.
  10. Can't speak for S-sue but I download and stream from Curzon Home Cinema. They have an app on Amazon fire stick so watch on TV. ETA Sorry this isn't really relevant to setting up a social group
  11. Thanks for heads up about Long Days Journey into Night. I also loved So Long My Son but have been holding back from making the leap into Long Days Journey. Shoplifters was great.
  12. I?ve always been uncomfortable with use of the C word until I saw the blessed Olivia use it in The Favourite. Even so, it still makes me cringe.
  13. ?Ring-necked parakeets, like all birds living in the wild in the UK, are protected by law. The species can be controlled under licence in England, but only in isolated cases where the birds pose a serious threat to conservation of a native species, are causing serious damage to crops, or for air safety purposes.? 17. Though there is a precedent for a mural funded by CGS funds in Kennington, that particular wall attracted a great deal of graffiti and the painting of the mural itself was carried out as a community project. The North Cross Road Committee who applied for the funding is a consortium of independent shops and market traders and the benefit is purely commercial with no cleaner, greener and safety contribution to the community. It should not have received funding from the CGS budget.
  18. Whether you?re a Momentum supporter or not, your style of ?discussion? comes straight out of their playbook. Anyway, as you think that having the last word means you?ve won the argument, I shall give you this opportunity as I will not be posting again on this thread. As has been pointed out already, the only way this thread will close is if people, including yourself, stop posting on it - it takes more than making petulant demands to Admin.
  19. Don?t tell me what I should be decrying, very dictatorial and intolerant. More Momentum cliche. Dont understand the Green reference.
  20. Five years more of this thread with Cella?s continual sniping? NOOOOOOOO!!!!

  23. Yes, that?s where it was. There used to be, or perhaps it?s still there, a thistle insignia which was David Greig?s logo. Tart?s predecessor was a restaurant called Le Chardon, French for thistle.
  24. James McAsh stated in his post of 5 December that the cost of repairing any damage to the ground will be covered by Tree Amigos
