Another recommendation for Millpond. We went from waking 6 -7 times a night to waking about twice in the space of a week. Within a month we were sleeping through the night, not consistently but enough to make me feel human again. I think the main thing about the sleep clinic was that it made us feel like we were taking control of the situation and gave us alot more confidence. I would definitely recommend it as I'm able to enjoy our little boy so much more now!

I know it's not East Dulwich but I'd be interested in hearing peoples' views on Ivydale Primary?

Recommendation for sleep advice
LauraHW replied to mumof3girlies's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Thanks Nunheadmum. I've contacted the millipond clinic as I've heard good things about them and we've got a consultation next week. Happy to report on progress is anyone's interested!! Although now we've paid up LO will probably fox us by sleeping through (or is that just a distant dream.....) -
Recommendation for sleep advice
LauraHW replied to mumof3girlies's topic in The Family Room Discussion
I know that 4 months is probably too soon to start getting concerned about poor sleep habits but the truth is that I value my sleep far too much! My 4 month old wakes frequently during the night - about 5 - 6 times between 7pm - 7am. He only wants feeding once and doesn't seem to be able to soothe himself back to sleep and will only drop back off it we put dummy back in and sit with him a while. Do you think this is just a phase or should we try to knock this on the head now by seeking some help? We've just returned from holiday and think this might have unsettled him too. Thanks for your help -
I'm just starting to get my head around returning to work in May and am thinking of going down the childminder rather than nursery route. Does anyone know how to get hold of a list of registered childminders in Nunhead area or does anyone have a recommendation? Also any other advice on the subject gratefully received e.g. what a reasonable daily rate is, what the usual child:childminder ratio is? Many thanks!

Hi there All advice on this gratefully received! I have a 14 week old and I think he's just started to teeth. He's very red in the cheeks and dribbling and keeps wanting to chew his hands. Also he's started to wake more frequently at night whereas before he'd only wake once. Does this sound like teething or is 14 weeks ridiculously soon to start? Thanks!

dummies / pacifiers and how to avoid using them?
LauraHW replied to benjaminty's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Just to echo what everyone else has said. I gave in at 4 weeks because I was sick of my nipple being used as a dummy. Now I'm a dummy convert and can't remember why I was such a snob about them! -
Hi there I know this isn't strictly an East Dulwich issue but does anyone have any recommendations for nurseries in SE15 for a one year old? I know of a couple - Goslings and Colourbox - but haven't heard of anyone's experiences of them. Any advice appreciated! Thanks
