  1. Well the builders have started and the film is scheduled for 3.30 pm !
  2. Agree with edcam had the Croque Madame & flat white too on Saturday and it was excellent!
  3. All I know is that we had dinner at the Patch last night (21/6) and it was absolutely delicious, we took some friends for their first visit and they were very impressed - I don't understand why people are being so negative about the restaurant - the chef and his team seem to be providing continually brilliant food and it's reasonably priced! It certainly compares very favourably with Franklins, Le Chardon and the Palmerston and, for me, I thinks it's a winner! pandg
  4. Does anyone know how we can find out who owns the empty shops in Lordship Lane? Thanks

  12. We have had three meals, over the last three weeks evenings and lunchtimes, and have found the food, "ambience" and service excellent - the costs are no similar to other good restaurants in the area- and good luck to the new chef and his team too!
  13. Totally agree about the fabulous food, service and ambience (no disrespect to Micky Flanagan!) at the Patch - haven't been let down there yet and is becoming the place to get consistently good food. - hope it lasts!
  14. Here goes Sue again slagging of anyone and anything just wants to get her name on all the posts on the EDF it seems to be - just check all her other posts and blimey there are enough to last you a lifetime!

  16. Went to Blue brick today for lunch - what a surprise - fabulous food all homemade and cooked to order, only a small cafe tucked off North Cross Rd, but busy too- all veggie but really worth a visit folks!
  17. Just had Carl painting our hallway and staircase - wow- fabulous workmanship so pleased with the results and he lives in The hilltop village (CP) too! Booked him in to do our living/dining/kitchen area now too. Contact him on 07930316291 pandg
  18. So sad about these shops closing due to stupid hikes in rents, it is necessary that any area has thriving independent shops and services otherwise !!!! I just hope that the quote from Parkhill's website that they have "completely changed the face of a high street in Lordship lane East Dulwich" doesn't blow up in their faces and LL becomes another suburban ghost town - support the local shops and services!
  19. As Peckhamrye has said get the residents together to form a right to manage company (RTM) and then you can run your own affairs and look for new agents. Look at www.lease-advice.org where they have info on RTM's. Good luck!
  20. 7 of us, all neighbours, went for dinner last night, atmosphere was good, very buzzy and busy too, very attentive staff and fabulous food - all 7 of us enjoyed our meals. Fabulous having such a good restaurant in ED! It will become a regular restaurant for us. Best to book in advance though particularly Thursday to Sunday!
  21. Can I suggest you contact Elliott Webb, he has helped me recently and is very knowledgeable and very helpful, plus he lives locally in Herne Hill - his number is 07968 245216
  22. It was especially good today and made us so happy - here is our post from 24/02/2013 11:09PandG 55. Re: The Mag on LL -Masterchef Kerri needed!!! 23. WOW ! First time today we have been able to try the Patch ( the old Mag - - no comparison!) and what a lunchtime treat! Just a fabulous menu and the food was exquisite - well done you lot especially the very talented Masterchef Champ Keri Moss and her chefs! Couldn't fault anything! (Hake and the Duck were the two chosen dishes with a side of seasonal veg! Will be back ASAP!! P and G
  24. He does make home visits and works for a company with offices in the city and yes, FA's have to quote their fees in advance of carrying out work - Elliott is doing some good work for me on pensions and soon on mortgages too! P
  25. Did you talk to them Niconico? We haven't been yet as we are not in ED at present but friends went last night and have said that the food was excellent! Will let you know what we think as soon as we can get there, and if there are any problems we will speak to them directly! Good luck Patch people and if the Masterchef crew came to ED that would give some positive publicity! Keri was a brilliant contest and and a worthy (joint) champ in my book!
