  1. Hi first mate, as the thread title suggests, it is about the changing rooms, One O'clock club, playgrounds and adventure playground, my post above publicises part of the poster you have seen. The One O'clock club is unfit for purpose (an old POW hut with poor insulation and being overtaken by tree roots from below, and therefore a new location is needed). I hope this clarifies this a bit better and many users take part in the consultation. Renata

  3. Look on the Southwark website too
  4. For all of you who use the One O'clock club, as you know the building is a recycled POW hut and is crumbling and being invaded from below by tree roots! There is going to be a new facility, come and have your say about it. 6. Yes, the emails will be sent out at 5pm and letters will arrive the next day. Southwark Admissions will be open that evening. Unfortunately schools are closed for the Easter Holidays. After a fortnight there should be some movement on waiting lists after initial responses from parents eg those who are going into the independent sector or holding Harris ED and another offer. Local Councillors will be available too to give you assistance. Good luck everyone Renata
  7. William of York (Catholic) is bulging, Horniman was going to bulge, but was withdrawn recently, I don't know about others. Renata
  8. To my knowledge no schools in the ED area were assigned to have a bulge when the brochure went live last summer. This may change as the number crunching is still on-going. This year, Dulwich Wood (formerly Langbourne) and Bessemer Grange both have their extra intake also Judith Kerr is on the CAF system (it wasn't last year). In the formulation for spaces locally, 60 spaces have been counted for Harris Free School ED. The problem will be that as the location was unknown until recently, the Harris spaces weren't on the CAF system which means that there are likely to be 60 families holding two offers. Funding for those 60 places can't be provided twice, to Harris and to the LA to fund bulge classes. Therefore, there is likely to be a bigger shakedown of places in the area than usual. Renata
  9. definitely clay! Renata
  10. Overnight roadworks, it should be back to normal now. Renata
  11. Hi Mike, this is to become the new Nunhead Community Centre plus housing. There is quite alot of info on it on the secentral.co.uk in the Nunhead section. Renata
  12. This afternoon Nunhead Ward Councillors, Fiona Colley and Sunil Chopra and Peckham Rye Councillors, Victoria Mills and I met with the Head of Ivydale, Helen Ingham and the Deputy Head, Judith Lambert. I'm delighted to confirm that Ivydale will be expanding onto the former Bredinghurst site on Stuart Road to form a four form entry primary, with the first four forms of entry being in 2016. The architects who will design the new buildings for the Stuart Road site are due to be appointed shortly. There will shortly follow consultation with the school, families and local community as we move into the next stage of the expansion process. Renata edited to change typos
  13. Hi hellosailor, I'm saddened to hear that your friend is in such a distressing situation. Please suggest to him to contact the SASS on 02075931290 or http://www.solacewomensaid.org/get-help/southwark/ note, I know it says women's aid, but it's very much for men in your friends situation too. Renata
  14. I would suggest those of you who are unhappy with the amount of time spent on land contact the swim school manager when you are next at the Dulwich Baths (I'm happy to do this on your behalf if you would like me to). In terms of the number of pupils per class hichm, the standard is 10 children per class. I think the likely reason that there were fewer when you started using the facility, is that while the Leisure Centre were closed for renovation, customers moved elsewhere and it took a while for classes to refill again once the pool was reopened (eg parents would keep them elsewhere while they were still in a particular level with a teacher they were used to). 16. To update, No speeding involved, the accident happened at a low speed. Renata
  17. Hi The Minkey, I don't believe so. If it was around 3.15-30 on Monday, the sirens/ police car may have on their way to Brenchley Gardens. Renata
  18. It's on their website and I've spoken to the school, but no reason for the change of plans have been given. Renata
  19. Hi Anisa, where are you based/what age is your child? Some schools run holiday clubs (eg Ivydale) and there are also specialist clubs eg sports or music depending on your child's age and interests. Renata
  20. This is the first year of a fixed national offer day for primary allocations. It will be the 16th April from this year onward (like March 1st is National Offer day for secondary). If it falls at the weekend, it will be the next working day. Renata
  21. It was an accident. At 3.15pm, a lady in her 80s was crossing the road near the cemetery and stepped out in front of a car. The car braked but was unable to stop in time and sadly the elderly lady suffered serious injuries. Brenchley Gardens was temporary closed and the P12s were on diversion down Athenlay Road. I hope that the lady makes a good and speedy recover and am thinking of her friends and family at this time. Renata
  22. I bought some quite recently at Krystal Pharmacy on Evelina Rd in Nunhead, but I can't however guarantee they have any left! 020 7639 0262 good luck Renata

  25. James, a bizarre and unfounded comment re a Labour Mayor! I agree with Michael. I am wholly supportive of a Bakerloo line extension. Renata
