  1. Hair salons don't do home appointments no matter how good a client you are. It's the individual stylists you need to ask.
  2. That's exactly how I feel Applespider. Would much rather have my handbag snatched.
  3. I agree womanofdulwich
  4. Sloupe in Clapham South. Daniella is AMAZING http://www.sloupe.com/
  5. That's very true david_carnell. It would be interesting to see who it is that buys the uniforms from the charity shops around here.
  6. Definitely with PeckhamRose and Huguenot. No you will not be compensated, and what for anyway? unless they do damage which is unlikely I'm sure. From your post they obviously don't need to access your house to get to the garden as that would be another thing altogether. I can understand being annoyed at the whole situation but just be a good person. I'm sure if there was another way to fix the roof they would do it.
  7. That's a really great idea Huggers.
  8. Agreed Otta
  9. There's no targetting- it's not personal Mrs/Mr Family Room Moderator. I'd respond to anyone who clearly gets very annoyed when others don't agree with them! And I think my points are valid and have had various private messages from people agreeing with me so I'm not alone!
  10. HH, me thinks you should stop trying to quieten peoples comments that you don't like with your 'jokey', 'tongue in cheek' comments. Whether you may find it annoying for people to say 'look at the bigger picture', everyone is entitled to write what they please on here as long as it's not rude or offensive. The Family Room isn't different to any other room in that respect. Controversially sometimes we all need to look at the bigger picture from time to time. You're all very lucky to have found the love of your lives, who provide for you, and you have happy healthy children. I hope that doesn't offend anyone but it's true. I know many many people who would LOVE to have your problems! Anyway, perhaps one day you will take my advice, unlikely though I'm guessing!
  11. Me start or you start?! ;-)
  12. Sorry HH, on a public forum you can't really dictate who can comment on a thread!

  15. ooo flying saucers are a good one
  16. Shouldn't this be in the family room?
  17. The high speed trains are excellent. I bought a normal ticket to Ramsgate and then a ?4.80 supplement to use the high speed train. Took an hour.
  18. The desserts can be quite nice actually. Savoury though are yuck!

  20. Avocados, bananas, houmous Edited to add BB100 makes an excellent point. Best to talk to your GP
  21. Would the housing necessarily be affordable though? somehow I doubt it!
  22. Bit rich coming from you HH! :)) Love- life Hate- people who whinge and complain over stupid, overblown little problems, don't attempt to do anything constructive about them, and then get aggressive and nasty when someone challenges their ideas.
  23. Oh is he ginger?! I didn't see that! ok, forget him
  24. Good for you Ruth, I'm so glad you got it sorted, and you had the difficult conversations that needed to be had. It's always worth being honest, facing up to the issues you all have with eachother because only then can you move on. And it's all worth it in the end.
