Making a comment on our previous CC night out is usual and most people do so when the night has been exceptional. WTF has that got to do with self importance. ?? Sorry can't understand the above sentence .. DulwichFox -

Looks like my Positive review of this new restaurant and indeed Michael p's have both been removed.. as for.. We get ?Pretentious? meals dished up on pieces of wood, chopping boards and slates, as well as > drinks served in jam jars. > ...and get charged a premium for the privilege.. > > Just give us a nice white Porcelain plate... Well the meal was not pretentious and we were not charged a premium for the privilege..and the main meal was on a porcelain plate.. DulwichFox P.S. My photo was to highlight the food .. Not the slate. Appologies for multiple edits but my browser is playing up and posts are not showing up properly. -

Delightful stone-based serving platters actually. Well put Mr P. Take no notice of Jah Lush. He just cannot resist putting a negative slant on any positive post from The Fox. Tiresome attempt to highjack the thread. Foxy -

Six of us enjoyed a Delicoius meal at Xoco Bar and Grill.. The food at this new addition to Lordship Lane is truely delightful and our Indian choices unlike anywhere else on the lane. The service at Xoco is superb and the attention to detail is so good. I personally would like to reccomend this new addition to all. Give this place a go. Comlimentary Naan bread with Olives.. Hummus and Sun dried Tomatoes served pre meal.. My starter was The Falafel Onion Bhaji as pictured below.. Foxy -

Those people all > didn't rely on supposition but supported their > views with evidence. As opposed to making crap up > because it fits your world view. So what crap have I made up. ? I believe you may be refering to a previous thread. Where I refered to a time when the UK was 'Great' The Ship building.. Coal.. Steel.. Industries. A time before we joined the E.U. A time when WE made up the rules. Is it not true we have lost all these industries.. My grandfather in South Wales worked in the mines.. My uncle in S. Wales was a Ship Builder. I'm talking facts.. These industries have gone forever. We do not need the E.U. to tell us to run our new industies and Technologies. We do not need The E.U. to hold our hands.. D.F

The idea > that the UK in 1973 was 'the most powerful place > on Earth' or was a world leader in the industries > that you cite is so wrong that it's laughable. I wrote 'was for centuaries the most powerful place on Earth. ' so was not just talking pre 1973.. I just cannot be bothered to write reams and reams about the industrial history of the UK. The rot was evident before 1973 but the Thatcher and Europe hammered in the final nails in the coffin.. After joining The now E.U. there was no way back.. but NOW there is a glimmer of hope.. Nissan producing cars here in the U.K with 1,000's of jobs.. is a great start and is a kick in the teeth to the remain mob who want this country to fail just to prove they were right... Ludites.. Sabouters.. But they won't win. The best oportunity in 40 years to make this country a World leader again. So you just sit there laughing and let those who have the skills do their job. Let us select the best Doctors..Surgeons..Enginneers.. Scientists..whatever from arond the World to come and work here. DulwichFox

The Question has nothing to do with why the nation choose to leave.. The Question is why we ever joined in the first place.. The UK .. a tiny group of countries / islands.. was for centuaries the most powerful place on Earth. The Steel industry.. The Coal Industry.. The Ship Building Industry.. Cars.. motorcycles.. Then we joined Europe.. and it's been down hill ever since.. 40 years.. We cannot survive another 40 years.. We get Patriotic about Sport. Football.. Rugby.. Cricket.. Olympics.. Well there is nothing wrong with that.. it is NOT Racist. Nor is it Racist to be financially Patriotic.. DulwichFox

There may well be a scheme where genuine Fire Personel will visit and fit for free Smoke Alarms.. However there may also be Scammers taking advantage of such a scheme pretending to be from the fire service to gain access to your home. Always exercise strict caution and ask for I.D. If in doubt do not let anyone into your home. DulwichFox

Funny enough.. Although I seldom eat Pizza (Carb limits ) when I do.. (from Supermarket) I do tend to have a small bottle (185ml) of Red wine. I have always got a selection of Reds. I like Red wine..but if I drunk it in the pub it would go down to fast and I would be bladdered very quickly and have a very sore head the next day.. Foxy
