Turkey has changed. They have spent billions of euros on the tourist trade. Sadly recent events in Tunisia has meant Thousands have stayed away. Marmaris is a ghost town in comparison to previous years. Especially after dark. Many bars are empty and the atmosphere is a bit low key, Last year the local mayor Banned music in bars after midnight. It's very very quiet here. (Peaceful) Foxy

It's funny sitting here in Turkey being in Asia But on the doorstep of Europe. Listening To John Lennon one minute and the local call To prayer the next. Hi Fazer71 I will be flying out of Gatwick 07.30am tomorrow.. I doubt I shall be flying over gaff. but I will be flying over other peoples gaffs. I only went to K?z twice.. Both times very disappointing.. Both times food undercooked. Kebabs served with cold vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower, carrot) as apposed to salad. Not the best experience and not up to the standard of Hisar.. DulwichFox

In the 50's when I was a young kid. My parents used to take me to the White Horse (Peckham) which had a small garden. Kids were not allowed in the bar, to the extent that when my dad took me to the loo for a wee he was barracked and shouted out by all the customers. The Landlord went berserk and I had to go outside and have a wee in the alleyway outside the pub. That's how things were in most pubs. DulwichFox
