I don't remember having Roast dinners at my school. But then I did not go to school on a Sunday. People I know speak highly of the Sunday Roast at the White Horse. But they are very ordinary people like myself.. and a bit Old. You know. Pensioner types.. They'll eat anything you put in front of them. Foxy
  2. Mr Ben .. Are you a member of the Flat Earth Society.. ?? Foxy.

Lou.. You and I both get stick when we say 'keep things as they are..' We get accused of not embracing change... Yet... When we suggest things are not working at any given venue , and they are destined to failure if they don't make changes, we get accused of expressing joy in seeing a business fail or of being negative. Can't win mate.. Foxy
  4. One way or the other, Foxtons is here to stay... Until THEY decide whether to pull out. They are likely to be here long after most of the pop-ups have gone. Dulwichfox
  5. I remember Sydney Fox.. I think I got my suit from there when I got married in 1983. DulwichFox .. No relation
  6. What I'm saying is generally if you pay a premium price you are usually guaranteed it will last.. It will come with a 5 year guarantee. .. but its also true that a cheaper brand may well last just as long, but not guaranteed too do so. Remember the Ad. Ariston goes on and on and on and on ... My Ariston Washer/Dryer lasted 22 years.. When I bought my Hotpoint from Curry's 2 years ago .. the guy said, "don't expect this one to last that long" Keeping fingers crossed.. Foxy
  7. I've had kettles last over 5 years+ You do need to de-fur ?? them from time to time. Get what you pay for. Foxy

  19. This is an appeal to reinstate Louisa. Louisa Date Registered: 26/02/2007 3,493 posts.. Louisa has been here for over 8 years.. I do not know the details of the offensive post that got Louisa 'banned' / banished to the Lounge. I think she has served her sentence and would like to ask the moderators to reconsider their decision to ban her. She has over the years added value to the forum and is witty, funny with posts that some have misinterpreted.. There are others here whose posts are of a more personal and insulting nature than Louisa's posts. I urge others here to also give our Lou. another chance. DulwichFox
  20. Louisa is an Exeter Blow-in LOL.. Byron Burger has always a good reputation. They have one at Bluewater but I have not tried it. But then I'm not a big Burger person. Could make an exception for you though Lou. ;-) That would give the 'Burgers' something to talk about. :) Foxy
  21. Using public Wi-Fi for business can be hazardous... There are serious security issues and other people could be stealing your data.. It's pretty easy for someone who wants to intercept your data in a man-in-the-middle attack to set up a network called "Free Wi-Fi" or any other variation that includes a nearby venue name, to make you think it's a legitimate source. If you are connecting via Windows, make sure to turn off file sharing and mark the Wi-Fi connection as a public network. You can find this option in the Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center > Change Advanced Sharing Settings. Under the Public heading, turn off the file sharing toggle. You may also want to turn on the Windows Firewall when connecting to a public network if it's not already activated. These settings are also found in Control Panel > Windows Firewall.
