Is that even > allowed? Well I'm not sure it should be. The Bishop has it's own Pub Dog and allows other dogs in and serves food. ?? Pubs tend to have more space so not so much of a problem. But a small caf?? I really do not think I approve. There is simply no need to take your dog to a caf?. (Guide Dogs exempted) DulwichFox

Assume you are getting Bus home so you must have an Oyster card Leave bike at home and get Bus to work. Problem Solved and no need to worry about bike being nicked. Foxy

They have probably spent a considerable amount of money doing the place up. Their prices seem to be fairly reasonable. Certainly a lot more reasonable than the prices for the pizza at The Actress. All their outlets seem to have the same pricing policy. They are going to have to sell an awful lot of Pizzas to get their money back. Perhaps they will need to up the price in East Dulwich to attract the element of discerning diners that are only content if their bill means maxing out on their credit cards.. I do not eat Pizza. I find it boring. After all it really IS mostly Cheese on Toast. Foxy

So we have yet another caf? that sells sandwiches, croissants and some type of coffee. FREE Wi-Fi. and is dog friendly. The whole of East Dulwich has become hysterical and will DEFO be using it. Just like all the other outlets people will DEFO be using. Have we not reached DEFO be using it saturation point? What has happened to Loyalty ? Why go somewhere else when the other places were so brilliant. ? Foxy

joom Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I'd like to see more seating around lordship lane > and northcross road - I don't think there are any > benches and I often feel like a sit-down to watch > the world go by... I totally agree. To sit down in the sun / read a newspaper you have to go to a retail outlet Pub/Restaurant. Problem is there is not much space. DulwichFox

LondonMix Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Dulwich Fox doesn't think something will work.... > shocking! Do you think it would work. ? Would you invest your money in such a project. My reasoning is ruled my head not my heart. Why did the original lido close. No one used it.. ? I used a couple of times in the 60's Fell into disrepair. The bottom of the pool was cracked. Subsidence ?? I seem to remember there are geological problems with there being a subterranean River the River Peck that runs below the site of the old lido. With a rising table such things need to be considered. So before you start knocking Old Foxy (That is so last year.) Why don't you lay down some positive and practical ideas to support such a project. You know with sensible reasoning. Financial benefits for the area. DulwichFox

I don't think planning permission would ever be granted. To be a financial success 100's of people would need to use it. To have 100's of people converging on one of the areas most dangerous junctions does not sound like a good idea. Brockwell Lido on a hot summers day has 100's of people queuing but has the space to accommodate them. Back in the day Brockwell Lido was always the more popular venue. If the a new Peckham Lido were to be built it would need to include sun bathing areas and cafeteria facilities. I do not think there is enough available space to accommodate them. There is no space for parking whereas Brockwell Park Lido does have parking facilities. With swimming facilities available on East Dulwich Rd. and Peckham Pulse I doubt if the funds to build a new lido would ever be granted. DulwichFox

I'm always astounded how people get so excited over a cup of coffee..? I do not drink much coffee as I try to avoid caffeine. Don't think I would be able to tell the difference between one coffee and another. They all taste the same to me. DulwichFox

Hi Lillyrose.. I have looked at your Facebook page for the things you will be selling. I'm sure they will be very popular with dog cat lovers. From your Facebook page.. Is Maison Dog your company / The name of the shop. ? Is maisondog.co.uk your website. ? Dulwichfox

Dulwich Hamlet FC Pay What You Want
DulwichFox replied to DHFC's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Yep stop whinging and whining on about a few posters. Dulwich Hamlet is our very own local team. You can support them along with your own team. Unless perhaps if they are meeting each other in one of the Pre-Season Friendlies. :) Opposing fans mix together with friendly rivalry. Beer is allowed on the terraces for most games. Great way to spend a Sat. afternoon or evening. 5-10 min walk from Lordship lane. ?10. ?4 Concessions. Get down there. Support your Local Team. Stop winging and have a good day/night out. Foxy.
