  1. Children do not cycle to school and have very little desire to do so. Walking would seem to be out of the question. They get taken to school by their parents in their 4X4's The subject of the thread is about whether there should be road tax for cyclists. I suggested that they should contribute to the infrastructure hey demand. Nothing to do with health or a drain on the NHS. DulwichFox
  2. Cyclists Should pay something.. They constantly request dedicated cycle lanes. Cycle super-highways. They cost a lot of money to build. Who is supposed to pay for them. DulwichFox
  3. They sometimes have them in the charity shops. Cheapest you'll find. DulwichFox

Its a Windows Phone so my numbers are stored in Windows Live. Not sure if numbers removed from phone are removed from Windows Live. I would suspect Windows Live is synched to my device. I do not want to loose some of my my Texts. There is no facility on The Nokia Lumia 800 to download or copy them to PC. On later modles you can. Most of my emails will be in Windows Live Mail. Like right-clicking said:- Factory reset will clear the board, back it up via Zune. But the glitch is in-built and will return. So no point in resetting. Foxy
  7. Had the phone some time now. Keep my phone on at night. Only ever turn it off if requested to by being in restricted area. I do like the phone and has a good battery life. Having said that, it is not possible to access the battery or open up the device without resulting to some serious brute force. DulwichFox

Sue Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Would a factory reset really be so disastrous? > > Might be quicker in the end than fiddling about > trying to find a solution to your problem? As it was happening from the beginning, I'm not convinced a factory reset will resolve the problem. But I'm pretty certain all Data will be lost. Contacts, emails, texts, Apps. Not worth risking. :-( Foxy.
  9. I have an annoying problem with my Nokia Lumia 800 I lose the Time & Date settings every time I power it off. Problem has existed since I first got it but have been trying to resolve the problem. Googling the problem would seem to suggest I am not alone. I have tried all suggestions but nothing will resolve the problem. Changing the time to AM/PM as opposed to 24HR. Making sure Auto Update is checked. Turning off Wi-Fi before powering down. Making sure I have Full Battery. Checking Time Zone is correct. Anyone have the same phone and experiencing the same problem or knows how to resolve the problem. I believe reset to factory settings may solve the problem but then I will lose all my data. There is currently no S/W update available for my phone. Foxy.

Why do so many people find it necessary to drive everywhere? When I was a little lad and lived in Peckham. We would walk up Peckham Hill Street , up Rye Lane to the White Horse Pub Garden. No kids in Pub in those days. My parents would have 1 drink and we would then walk back home again. a good couple of miles there and back. Ok so if you have very young children and need to use a buggy, all the ones I have seen have wheels. There is a good reason why they have wheels. So you can PUSH them. They use to be called Push chairs. So get out , go for a walk, get some exercise. Leave the car at home. DulwichFox
  15. They are emphasising FREE Parking. In an area where Parking is already congested. Shows they have very little concern for local residents. DulwichFox

  19. One might hope that is a temp. repair. If that IS the case, would it not be cheaper to send out one team to repair it properly in the first place, rather than sending out two teams. Suspect that will be the final repair and it will be left like that till it crumbles away when the frosts come. Call me Old Fashioned. :) DulwichFox

DulwichMum is the Leader of The Absolutely Fabulous Party and I am her Sheriff. She has a Labradoodle called Teddy. Together we constructed a Ducking Stool which is currently in Storage but can easily be re-assembled. There would seem to be at times many candidates for such a device. :) DulwichFox
