  1. Straefer is old..?? That will cheer him up.. He is probably 15-20 years younger than me. DF.

Council proposals have no concept of either and thereforej There is no computer or computer language that Could resolve such a conundrum. Fox
  3. You can take it to council dump. The Southwark reuse and recycling centre (RRC) is located at 43 Devon Street (off Old Kent Road), London SE15 1AL The centre is free and open seven days a week: 1 April to 30 September, 8am to 8pm 1 October to 31 March, 8am to 6pm Foxy
  4. It is good to see so many solutions to all possible problems. Better to have a situation where no problems need to be resolved. I build computer programs. Good programing is getting it right first time. Not having to spend hours de-bugging badly written code. I suppose it's a bit much to expect that from any local authority when it comes to planning ahead. DF
  5. Yep.. If Foxy was to report that .. 'The Station was shut' there would be some people that would immediately take that as Foxy being negative, not Foxy being helpful. I don't think they ever actually understand what I write. I try to keep them as short as possible. I do not feel the need to explain the punch-line so to speak. I assume a certain level of intelligence. :) DulwichFox Not an actual fox. and not my real name.
  6. One has to take in all practicalities... Classrooms on a busy road. Traffic Noise. Solution double glaze and keep windows shut.? Pollution:- Solution double glaze and keep windows shut.? Hot weather:- Solution Air conditioning.??? Not good environment especially for young people. Dry eyes especially when spending time on computer screens. Respiratory problems. Outside play/exercise area. Not applicable. Parents driving children to school. Parking. ??? Our kids deserve better. This is not Foxy being grumpy. It is common sense.. Then Foxy does not have to rely on making himself popular to get votes. ;-) DulwichFox

When Grove Vale school was built 100 so years ago, there were very few cars.. They recently widened the pavements to make it safer. And I don't think the gates on Grove vale are in use. (May be Wrong) Building any new school should take as one of it's priorities.. Safety. Top Priority where children are concerned Not just build anywhere and try and put right at a later date. Plan Ahead. Find a suitable site. Not just make do. There may be space for a small school. With no outside play area. DulwichFox
  8. lane lover Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Sounds like Foxy has started early this Friday ... What are you talking about. (Polite Version) Do you really think that would be a good site for a School. ? Main Road, Traffic, Small Children. Idiot. Unless you have something sensible to say keep your opinions to your self (Polite Version) DF
  9. Considering the amount of traffic and the amount of accidents along that stretch of Lordship Lane I cannot think of a more inappropriate site for a school. Totally Absurd ! DulwichFox
  10. I would seriously advise you to speak with the Borough Surveyor if that's what the're called. I'm sure there are a few Bob the builders out there willing to dig away your foundations, but be very careful. DulwichFox
  11. Youngs are no longer what they used to be. Look what they have done to the Clock House. and the Dulwich Wood House. Ale has become secondary to overpriced mediocre food. No better than the old Harvester but twice the price. DulwichFox.
  12. binary_star Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Is this the thing that looks like a squat totem > pole??? Yes, I think someone may be living there.. Have seen open fires there after dark. 'Carving' going on for 10 months or so now. Think it may become a semi-permanent residence. ?? DF
  13. John Bishop is from Runcorn, as was Lewis Carroll. ..and the is a Kitchens supplier in Runcorn. http://www.thegalleryinruncorn.co.uk/ Suspect SJ would of checked that out before posting. DF

  18. Have considered a trip to New York.. Can anyone explain procedure for First visit.... I.E. Visas ?? Do you have to have hotel reserved for first night. Seems a bit like Chicken & Egg situation with Flights / Accommodation being booked. ? Any help appreciated. Foxy.

If The Bellenden project is that much of a Triumph, why does it need to associate itself with East Dulwich. Surely it would be better to remain a stand alone project. A Peckham project. Because that is where it is. DF
  22. Sheerness.. I believe.. Foxy.
  23. My late mother worked at BHS during the war.. One morning as she was just approaching work a German plane came along Rye Lane firing its guns. A man threw my mum under the tail gate of a parked lorry. She had a lucky escape. she was 14-15 at the time. DulwichFox.

The Owl may of been able to see his reflection in the lens. In the original (uncompressed) picture printed on A3, You can clearly see my reflection in the creatures left eye. Pic. here is compressed but still shows good definition (See Feathers) Nikon Lenses. :) Foxes
