Vote for North Cross Road Market
DulwichFox replied to lane lover's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
North Cross Rd. is not a market.. It does not sell anything.. Anyone that has ever been to France, Belgium, Spain, Portugal.. will know what a market looks like.. http://www.museumofthecity.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/French-Market-Scene.jpg Well they have been doing it for a long time... We have some of the lowest standards in food... Compare the above with the so called Farmers Market Franklins. (Not North Cross Rd. )It's a joke. DulwichFox. -
Are there any Electronic Cigars.. Would seem more appropriate for after Dinner in ED. DulwichFox

I did eat it.... But I do not eat Burgers or Fries often because Have type -2 diabetes. Blood Sugars 9.0 mmol/L postprandial + 90 mins So no more food today. Some alcohol will help lower sugar level. :) I remember some years back 2002 B.K. at Waterloo Station was a lot better.. DulwichFox

How to report flickering lamp post
DulwichFox replied to Too Good To Be True's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
You can report a faulty street light online, or by contacting us via telephone or email. You will need the Number from the lamp post http://www.southwark.gov.uk/info/200083/roads_highways_and_pavements/610/street_furniture I have done in the past.. Usually fixed within 2 days. DulwichFox -

BT broadband down/ anyone else experiencing this in SE15 area
DulwichFox replied to hazelnunhead's topic in The Lounge
My BT Line has been down since Thursday when it was reported. Broadband is up intermittently but no phone. Have been in touch with BT but no joy. I worked for them for 26 years. They say it is a fault on my premises and want ?129.99. But if Broadband is up the line must be connected and the fault would seem to be in the Exchange. DulwichFox -

Worlsley 1500 cost ?30.00 ?17.50 to insure for 1 year.. ?5.00 to fix broken half-shaft. Got a lift from Rye to Udimore from a passing Police Car.. Foxy is on the right... DulwichFox

Never understood the concept of Teething Troubles... When you spend 6 months + sorting the place out. (Priority given to hideous graffiti on outside.) Get in a 'Top Chef' ?? Then employ inexperienced staff. (NOT their fault) Then charge top restaurant prices??? Same old ED Story.. Not been many reports good or bad since they opened. Have been passed several times for a nose(21.00-21.30) No one in front bar. 6 people in dining area...?? Walk past the Palmerston at that time it is often packed. Something not quite right. Might pick up in the summer when the weather is warmer. Old Mag was always a cold place. DulwichFox

Still down.. Managed to speak to BT.. Would seem to be a problem with Openreach.. Who you cannot contact... Openreach do not dispatch engineers at weekends..??? Funny that I know someone that works most W/Es and covers Dulwich T.E. Now will not be looked at until Mon-Tue at the earliest.. BT. poor service... Angry Fox

Realised I had lost my British Telecom phone service 13.00 yesterday. Reported to B.T. Automatic service. Could not actually speak to anyone. Called my number from my Mobile and got ring tone but phone not ringing. This would normally suggest a disconnection (Dis)in the 2 wire copper. As calls will ring to a Dis. But as my Internet Service was still up, the connection to the Exchange must be sound. This would suggest a Line Card fault. (LCN) LCNs have 8 lines on them so a faulty LCN would affect other customers.. 24 hours + Still Out of Service. Text from BT says 5 days to fix. I worked for BT for 26 years and left in 1993. Have worked for Mercury , Cable and Wireless and Nortel Comms. We had Service Level Agreements of a 4 hour fix. Not so with BT. Someone seems to of been working on my line as the Internet service has been up and down at times. Had to use BT Fon. which is also a naff service. Anyone else had problems.. DulwichFox.

Sue.. I heard something very similar to what you are describing in the area close to your house. 2/3 night ago. Was not coming from street. Sounded like it was coming from behind the houses on our side of the road. 21.00 ish It was not Foxes mating. It was a Whelping sound. Like a distressed animal. If this goes on will need investigating... Could well be a Christmas pet. DulwichFox

I found the staff in ED Deli pleasant and helpful. ( On the 1 occasion I have been in there.. ) Giving details about the Bread they sell. Sourdough Full of Seeds and Fibre and therefore relatively low GI. Unfortunately the bread was about ?3.90 ish and was stale by the next morning. As for Moxons Asked for Raw King Prawns.. They do not have them in stock. But will order. Frozen ?40.00 a box. (And that was when the first opened some years back. Also would not sell me a Sea Bass Fillet. would need to buy 2 at ?9.80 As for William Rose. Asked for a Rib-Eye Steak. Got it home to find it was not a Rib-Eye. Took it back.. Woman behind counter insisted "That's a Rib-Eye love. we trim it. Second Butcher backed her up. Then 'head' man whispered 'It's a Sirloin... No one the has the slightest idea.. That's why I do not shop on Lordship Lane... DulwichFox..

Hi Bonniebird This thread highlights your plight.. http://www.au.gardenweb.com/forums/load/oznative/msg0208170422804.html It would seem that Acacia dealbata is naturally sucseptible to uprooting in high winds. Have a read, but does not give much hope :( Foxy
